Generals/Zerohour problem

My 866 with radeon8500 plays zero hour fine, my 3gig with radeon9600xt lags and stalls, frame rates are unplayable. Ive tried it patched and unpatched.

 

I can play Doom 3 and many other games with all the bells and wistles up full.

 

So why would my old 866 play Gens/ZeroHour better than my new 3Gig??

 

Intel 800fsb P4 3ghz

1024 Ram

128gig ATI 9600xt

 

Please help.

Do you have the latest drivers for your video and sound cards? Sometimes they are the problem.
