Hi all. To Koen and all registered- where do you get registered and how can you become member? I want to stay and post a lot in here and talk to you guys a lot.

 

My subject was about the internet connection. I don't have a cable so should i get it or not? It kinda costs a lot but you get a really fast connection. I know that some people don' have it. I play on the net with people a lot- RA games and all but the game runs too slow and sometimes i get disconnected. It lags a lot in multiplayer i play a lot of RA2 and Yuri's revenge and get high scores like 20700 or so but it takes soo long because i keep getting disconnected. If i get a cable then the game would run fast but does the game really worth $50? I mean it's only a game and :arrow: unless you are very rich i don't think that you should pay $50 just for some game.

 

This kinda gives you just a shock: I mean if it was just a game then how come this forum was designed? It's full of games information and some people take it seriously. Games are for fun, sure designing and playing mods is fun but... Ok that's enough just tell me again what you think guys.

can you add my name into that fund of yours... i really hate modem... damn living in a unpopulated area with really expensive broadband... i will get it evetually just a matter of time i suppose...

 

How much does it cost for where you are??

264/64 - unlimited download, 5 email addresses at $$70 per month...+ a $$20 regional fee :bang: :flamer:

 

but i want the 512/128 3gig download, 7 emails and 15.4cents a meg if you go over the limit for $$94.95...

 

there is of course the like $200 sign up plus modem fee thing... :bang: :flamer:

 

so by the end if your not happy you just kill...

Jetstream in my area is between $50 and $80 a month. It depends on the plan ya choose.

thats the same with here pretty much im looking at Primus becasue they seem to be the best with deals...

 

prices can range from $50 all the way up to $245 but that is for like EXTREMELY FAST interweb downloading and 10 gig download limit... which is really that much but still i would not complain...

 

TPG is another good provider but bit dodgy...

Yeah really. I try not to notice. Its not always bad. Most days ya can't see anything.

 

But I live out by the airport so I don't really get to see the smog much if ever.

Im going to Keri Keri for xmas and new years this year which should be good, ive heard that its quite beautiful... i just hope the people are friendly to a aussie... i just hope australia and not NZ wins the world cup...

It depends on your current costs whether it's worth it... if you're online a long time through the phone, then it'll cost you (if you're charged per minute).

The advantage of cable: faster download/upload, but note that your ping can be very high (1000 ms) which means people think you have a slow connection - but if you play it should be faster than 56k. Not all cable has this problem though.

Note that I haven't played Generals through broadband.
