Crashing problems with LoTR - Battle for Middle Earth

I recently installed BfME and i cant play the game without crashing 1 time every 5 mins. I tried formatting, but was useless. Didnt mind is my gfx card is compatible or not, but if it ran i suppose it is. Anyway, when it crashed an error pops-up, not always the same but here is one

Hello men ,im a french customer of this game and i ve the same problem like you.

 

but the main topic of the box is : execpetion_access_violation

 

i dont want to interfer your subject, but in think that it is due to the same thing.

 

Im bored with Ea, on the official site of the game and on the forum there is no support.

 

A lots of person have this problem , they can't play in single or multyplayer game without crash.

 

And im not able to find a solution on the web.

 

I try to change the game.dat by a cracked one , and it continue to crash.

 

I have got the DvD version and U ?

 

I hope that we will be able to sollve the problem.

Hey man thanks for posting, i get that same error as well, its not always the same error but mostly it is the one u mentioned.

 

Yes i have the DVD version, and im sick of it. At first i thought it was a virus and formatted all pc cause another games kept crashing, but i found it wasnt, then i thought it was the vga and that some textures cannot be processed and so it crashes, but if u say lots of people have the same problem, i cant understand what it is :

 

I am gonna try another vga in 2 days perhaps its that, but if its not.... that sucks :

 

I am sure of 1 thing though, its not that your or my version are corupted, cause i gave my same copy to my brother (he installed it with the same key + cds) so its definetly not a corrupted copy... its just that it doesnt work on some systems for some reason, i hope a patch or something comes out sooner or later

Have you both tried the basics?

 

Make sure have you the latest drivers for your video card/sound card/motherboard installed.

I also have the same problem. My game crashes after playing for like 10 till 20 minutes. It also states Virtual memory access Violation.

We three use AMD comps, coincedence?

Its a problem with the DVD version i can tell you that right now, unless its a incompatibility with AMD which it couldn't be. See if you guys can get a hold on the CD version of it and try installing with that.

mmm, as a reply to snic, yes, i tried dloading the drivers but no result, ill try getting the cd version and see what happens

Well, i had no luck in finding the cd version and im running out of ideas, ill leave it for now, and hopefully EA will bring a patch out or something
