Please Help

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have a question for you and hope maybe that you can help me. It pertains to .big files. I am trying to install cncgenerals on my computer, but it gives me an error reading as follows:

Error 1305.Error reading from file C:Program FilesEA GamesCommand and Conquer GeneralsSpeechEnglish.big. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

I have tried to access this file, but I don’t know what program is needed to open it. Can help me find out what I need to do.

Thank You,

Gary

I think your CD is bustedbroken, you can pollish it,

or try using an other CDDVD player for install, it worked for me several times :)

If your getting these errors when your trying to install/start Generals you will need re-install your game. Make sure your CDs are clean. Use some good quality CD wipes. All good eletronic/computer should sell them.

It could also mean your CD/DVD drive is the problem, if its an older drive consider replacing it or use a lens cleaner disc to give the laser read lens a clean.

Another thing to try is to disable any anti-virus programs before starting the installation, as the files are being copied your anti-virus program is scanning them, this could be interfering with the Generals setup process.

And for the record. Downloading the .big editor/extractor programs from our site won't help you fix this problem.
