OS SHP Builder 3.23 released!

Recommended Posts

I have released a new version of the OS SHP Builder. Here's the changelog:

3.23

- revisions by Banshee

- Critical Bug Fix: OS SHP Builder will no longer corrupt offsets from files saved with compression 3 when the SHP has a blank frame between frames with contents.

- Added: New cameo backgrounds for both TS and RA2 to use with the cameo generator. Special thanks for GameMate, NineBreakerFan, TotalPrime and Factionmk at Sleipnir Stuff for the RA2 cameos. Thanks for Carnotaurus for all the new TS cameos.

- Updated: Community links. Added Rock The Battlefield, TX, Tiberian Fields, Renegade Projects and CnC Guild. Expanded the categories for CnC Tomorrow, Final Alert, CnC Files, CnC Source and Sleipnir Stuff. Fixed CnC Tomorrow url under TS Resources. Removed few links that were offline.

So, I heavly recommend everyone to update your SHP Builder for this version. You can download it at Project Perfect Mod. Support for this tool is available at OS SHP Builder Forums.

If you have a site, feel free to mirror it without asking for permision. Just credit myself and Stucuk for the program. Enjoy it!

3.3:

- revisions by Banshee

- Added: Right click painting support. You can now brush, create shapes and use brushing tools with the right click, using the new background colour. You can also disable the background colour whenever you want.

- Added: Copy and Paste with transparency. You can now copy the contents of a section and paste it without pasting the pixels with the background colour.

- Added: 31 new RA2 cameo backgrounds by eva251 and 2 new RA cameo backgrounds made by ZombyDragon, with Cinema 4D. Great stuff, specially the moon themed backgrounds from eva251.

- Update: Brush tools have been re-coded and they render faster now.

- Update: Each quick tool has its own menu now. So, you'll see Selection, Dropper, Flood and Line menus now. It looks more organized now.

- Update: Help file has been properly updated to cover the right click, shift and transparency tricks hidden in the program. Check it out!

- Update: Community links now have links for events happening on this and on the next month. Also, added a link for ModEnc, a very nice encyclopedia for modders with ini troubles.

- Bug Fix: The program will no longer get instable when it fails to open SHP (TS) files. It will just display a warning that it can't open the file.

- Bug Fix: When you apply the changes and click cancel in the Preferences area, you will no longer loose the changes related to CCM, Loading, Saving and Palettes.

- Bug Fix: You may now be able to undo copy, paste and move operations.

- Bug Fix: Preview will now update the palette when you change it.

- Bug Fix: Fix access violations that could happen if you tried to access the last frames of the preview window after activating shadows.

- Bug Fix: Fixed graphical bugs with canvas resize box when you set very high values to top or negative sized images.

- Bug Fix: Mouse cursor will now follow the tool you are using whenever you change it or open/create a file.

- Bug Fix: The frame spin edit will now properly update when you start or open a file.

- Bug Fix: If you open files with building tools selected, the program will no longer display the brushing tools.

More info and download at Project Perfect Mod. (CnC Series is just a good mirror ;)).

I really like your Cameo generator in that thing!

There's only 1 thing "wrong" with your program... first of all, I have to select the palette myself, no biggie, but when I create a new image (with another still open) it chooses the Unittype palette regardless of the one used in the other open image.

Like I said, it's not a big deal but it would make it 'feel' more professional :D

and there has to be an easyer way to get the perspective on buildings right...

- Yea, I have to re-code that, but it's kinda not priority at the moment. As for the second opened SHP choosing a unit type, I'll take a look at that.

Since it's a 2D editor, there is nothing I can do about a perspective viewport at the moment.
