BWare 0 Posted March 7, 2005 Did you all miss me? Well after a massive computer meltdown, I am finally back up and running. Here's a good piece of advice: Don't let your computer run with a busted fan on an overclocked vid card overnight with a full 3d screensaver going. That can never turn out well. BWare 0 Posted March 7, 2005 yeah, my radeon 9800 blew up on me overnight... I woke up, smelled smoke, opened my computer up, and the card was fried. Apparently the fan died, and the 3d screesaver I was running was working the card pretty hard... boom. Luckily Best Buy has the greatest warranty program ever conceived by man, so I was able to replace it with a GeForce 6600 GT, which I have been really impressed with. The defect was in the card from the start... it wasn't JUST the screensaver. It's not that awesome :lol: Sarcasm people... Its called sarcasm... Seriously though welcome back... oh gotcha...
