Domino230 0 Posted April 1, 2005 I looked to see if this was covered already, so forgive me if it was: I reinstalled Tiberian Sun not too long ago (patched and everything), and was shocked to discover that concrete walls cost $250! Insanity, considering that's more than a powerplant... So I get myself Sunedit 2k, register it, and go to change it to $50 when SURPRISE! It's already $50! I double checked in-game, nope still 250. So I change the value to 40, and just to make sure I'm doing this right I changed the cost of some other stuff. Walls are still 250, and all the other stuff I changed did! What's going on? TS seems to know the cost of walls better than the rules.ini huh? Any thoughts...? :? Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted April 2, 2005 In the initial Tiberian Sun release a single piece of wall cost $50. Then Westwood released a patch to speed up wall perimeter building. Once you build a piece of wall costing $250 build another and begin to place the next piece of wall a small way away in a parallel line to the existing piece. You will see a faint white line appear in between the pieces (up to 5 squares), then place it down at least 5 squares from the existing piece. The white line will now be replaced with extra concrete wall. Thus the reason why wall now cost $250, is because of that feature. It is not a bug. Share this post Link to post
