Is there any way to play C&C Zero hour in windowed mode so it stops lagging.

 

My computer meets the requirements but its lagging anyway.

When i first bought the game it was running fine but then after

a month or so it was starting to lag. I have search the computer

after virus and spyware but there is nothing.

Defrag your machine and run error checks, then go down to your local PC hardware retailer and consider a choice of new Graphics card and at least another 256MB of RAM.

 

I'm suprised that your system is even running the game being an SIS and it sounds like onboard chip. I've never known SIS to make seperate cards.. It's only 32MB because if it is onboard then it's taking from your system memory, degrading your system's performance.

 

My old Geforce 2 MX400 64MB never ran generals smoothly, even on minimal settings, so really for the power of your PC, you really need a decent graphics card to help support it.

SIS cards are onboard setups, SIS make chipsets for motherboads. Your SIS onbaord video is on the unsupported list as far as Generals/Zero Hour goes, check this page http://www.cncnz.com/features/tech/genzh_video.shtml

Hell my ****ty graphics card cant even run Generals and I dont even know what type it is! :( I tryed to get a good one built in but my parents just got me some basic piece of c**p . Good luck with yours, Comrade!
