ATI is gonna sell a 512 mb video card...first 512 vid ever!!!

 

How Exciting.....though there are many faults with it..... but just so U are informed of the Attack of of the 512mb Video Cards............512 :twisted: I'll be able to get a lot more out of gaming.....

Depends if any of the companies that sell the cards are going to utilise the ATI chipset. I highly doubt that any games at this moment in time will even need to use 50% of the power that the ATI is offering.

There are some people who use 2 of the exact same 256 MB Cards using 2 slots, like Osey does, he has 2 FX6800 Ultra Extreme's.....

more memory hardly increases performance. So you would probably get the same scores in benchmarks when testing identical cards, one with 256 one with 512.

Its all about the Gpu and the number of rendering pixel pipelines.

 

I heard ATI is working on a sli system (2 linked graphics cards) them self. wouldn't it be sweet to have 2 X850XT Platinum Editions (the fastest single gpu card in the world) in ur computer! that would make a 1000 US$ graphics set up!
