Acerz492 1 Posted July 11, 2005 What perplexes me the most, is why you people live in such a turbulent zone? I think if everyone on this earth, who lives in such dangerous places like the so-called 'Tornado Alley' and other significant disaster areas, moved to much safer parts of the globe, there would be more money to spend on things that matter, for example, schooling, health care, policework, and so on and so forth. New Zealand is no exception, as the whole country lies on a massive fault line. There's been numerous propaganda going around about "The Big One", refering to a massive earthquake that's due to hit us supposedly within the next decade, which will seriously **** us up. If proven true, I'm so getting the hell outta here before that happens. Me -and- my computer. Hahaha. Meh, my pessemism is showing..I'll stop now before I fan any flaming. Luk3us 63 Posted July 11, 2005 "The Big One", refering to a massive earthquake that's due to hit us supposedly within the next decade, which will seriously **** us up. Pff.. Never going to happen... If it did I reckon it would be cool if NZ got split right up the alps.. Then we'd have 3 islands.. wooo.... Share this post Link to post

"So called Tornado Alley" it is because every year there are like a bijillion tornadoes. Not all are devastating. But I've seen enough to say that it has earned its title of "Tornado Alley" BTW I live pretty close to it too. 8) Share this post Link to post
F15pilotX 4 Posted July 12, 2005 It's warm and TERRIBLY humid tonight...I go outside 4 5 seconds and my hands get all sticky Just wondering...Lukus and acerz, how far are you from the ocean and/or how long does it take to get there??? Share this post Link to post
Acerz492 1 Posted July 12, 2005 I live about 40 mins drive from the harbour, and about an a hour and a half's drive from the ocean. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted July 12, 2005 Lyttelton harbour? Probably 30 mintues... To the sea bout 10 minutes... Why? Share this post Link to post
Dark_Kodiak 0 Posted July 12, 2005 have you acerz and sonic met? if so what did you do? Share this post Link to post
Acerz492 1 Posted July 12, 2005 First things first: Get a map of New Zealand. Then find Christchurch, Hamilton, and Auckland (they're major cities, so it should be a problem). Here's why: Luk3us lives in Christchurch. Sonic lives in Hamilton. I live in Auckland. We couldn't meet even if we wanted to, mainly because of the fact that luk3us lives in the South Island. And because we can't really be arsed. And Hamilton's a pisshole anyway  Seriously though, Sonic and Luk3us are too busy with University (I assume that's mainly the case), and I'm going into the airforce next year, so really now's not the time to be meeting up or anything. Not saying that I don't want to, as it would be very cool. I dunno what Luk3us or Sonic think of the idea though. Sounds like a plan though. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted July 13, 2005 .... You're the one who asked bout the ocean right? You concerned we're going to be washed away in a big tsunami? It would have to be pretty huge to get all the inland to get me.. Retuning to topic... Today is midly sunny with a little bit of a coldish feel in the air... Share this post Link to post
Acerz492 1 Posted July 13, 2005 Hehe, sorry, it was just really funny to me, that's all. If a tsunami were to hit Auckland? I'd be fsked! The weather today....TO FRIGGIN' SUNNY!! GO AWAY SUN!!  Share this post Link to post
