In what directory is YR installed, (drive c:? d:?)

Usually if you uninstall the game and reinstall it onto another drive, it should fix the problem of not being able to find something you actually have.

Also, a thing that rarely works (but still does sometimes), is you can rename the language.mix to the same name, (as in, click rename, but don't actually rename it) and the computer might recognize it as a new file and work fine the next time around.

i've tried renaming it, and either way, the patch looks specificcaly for langmd, anyway, what is the directory on your computer?

ie: c:westwoodyuris revenge

Is it a legal copy of the game?

Also what version do you currently have?

I put mine in D:

Also, a good idea is to make sure that there aren't any RA2 or YR revenge files in two drives at the same time. sometimes this can confuse the computer and make it hard to find the file.

It doesn't matter exactly which drive you put it in, just so long as you put it somewhere and it is all in one spot.

---Try getting the RA2 and YR clean up file. It removes all content that wasn't in the RA2 directory when you first installed the game, and this might "clean things up" a bit, and help the computer find everything. sometimes other mix files get in the way

well i've tried all that, but i think that the problem i have is the patch is look in the wrong directory, so could one of you please show me the ENTIRE directory? (from the begining drive [c:] to the very end]

Here's what I did-

d:WestwoodRA2

Now, Some people have two folders, and some have three-

Some have an internet folder, a RA2 folder, and a YR folder all in the westwood folder. Others just have Internet and RA2, and they have Yuri's Revenge in their RA2 Folder, which is the best way to do it, because all their files are in one spot.

If you have Yuri's revenge in a separate folder, DO NOT just transfer it all into the RA2 folder, you have to uninstall everything and reinstall it into one folder.

If you get really frustrated with this, and you can't seem to get it to work, if you want (or if it is even allowed), i can email you my copy of language.mix and you can see if it works... otherwise, We can try to figure something out.

that's how mine is set up. i have c:westwoodra2 but that's where i keep both ra2 and yr. they both work, but i sense yr is not updated, i can't play that one online. i see the langmd file in the directory, but the patch can't find it, so it's unable to patch up.

this is one of those things where they really need to put a "browse" button

reinstall yur game. There is a "browse" button to select wich directory you want to install it too. It is set on the deffault westwood/RA2, but that can be changed to where ever you want it.

Do that, and patch the game, and the cleanup program is useful, also if its a "burned" disk, it didnt copy properly, or a cracked copy, that wont work either. Run under compatability for Win98 just to be sure.

If all else fails... :badpc::badpc::badpc: then your comp doesnt like you.

(BTW if its a MAC, then you (r comp) suk)

A burnt copy won't work properly anyway... It won't copy right and the creators did that on purpose.

You could tell them other wise. My cousins got a burnt RA and TS from a neighbor and it works pretty well
