I have the same problem here.

New sealed red alert 2 and yuris games installed.

Patch 1.006 and 1.001 installed.

When going to Manage Account a message screen with "Connection Error" appears.

I have a small network with 5 pcs and a dsl router. I have read in the patch document that some firewalls/routers are not automaticaly configured so i manually added on the router a static route to my static local ip and a port (15000). I also added that port into the network configuration of the game.

Machine: P4 - WinXP - NVidia FX5700 - 1GB ram

Still the same error.

Any ideas???

Thank you and i hope i help a little bit.

Well, I turned off my firewall and I was able to connect this morning, now I can't connect again :(

I downloaded all the patches ( I think, it gave me a bunch of patches when I first connected.).

So....I don't know what to do.

disable windows firewall, enter into your routers config and set up the port forwarding for the ports that YR needs.

My Windows Firewall is always off, and we have an antivirus thing, but it's easy to turn off the firewall on that. So I don't think it was a firewall...

I don't use a router either 8)

I did exactly the same thing I did when I was originally able to connect.

One thing that is a little weird is that it says version 1.001, even though when it updated, it dl'ed 1.006.

I never had to turn off the Firewall for TS or RA2 (and the expansions)

Only needed the ports made for Generals
