Howdy, ya'll!

I am sure this one has already been here before, but .......

My son and I have dug up our old C&C 95 disks and are trying to LAN them. We can create our own games, but cannot see eachother to join. We are lost. :(

Box #1-> Sound Blaster MB and LIVE! soundcard, Celeron 366, 512 SD-RAM, plenty of HD space, WinMe, C&C 95 v1.04a.

Box #2-> Shuttle MB onboard sound, AMD Athlon XP1800+, 512 MB DDR-RAM, plenty of HD space, WinMe, C&C 95 v1.04a.

We are using an Ethernet LAN through a switch. and we are the only two on there. If you could oblige us with some good news we would be highly appreciative! :D We are so relieved to find this site. We have been searching. Tanx!

IM :!:

Go into your network settings and make sure that you have the netbios drivers installed. I've had the exact same problem way back (years ago) and that was the reason if I recall correctly.

This is assuming of course that you can ping eachother.

C&C95 also requires the IPX/SPX protocol to play, which isn't installed by default on WinME. Check your network settings to see if that protocol is set up on your network.

For the IPX you should probably set it to use the frame rate Ethernet II (2) and make sure that the IPX network address is the same for both PCs.
