Saracen 16 Posted August 25, 2005 Has anyone, apart from myself, played with this Japanese logic puzzle that's now more popular than the humble crossword? For those not in the know: Fill in the 9x9 grid so that every row, every column, and every 3x3 box, contains the digits 1 through 9. from something as simple as this traditional puzzle to solve: to something that looks mind boggling such as this (17 overlapping puzzles in 1): http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/5018/61...appingl49py.gif For more info visit http://www.sudoku.com What do you think about Sudoku?? Minh 0 Posted August 25, 2005 Holy Crap! Soduku have some crazy puzzles... If someone here can do the one with the 17 overlapping puzzles than YOU should be called C&C King  Or at least something with King at the end. As for me? well I'm not patient enough to do that sorta puzzle. :? Share this post Link to post

Saracen 16 Posted August 25, 2005 They seem like a difficult concept to grasp, but do become quite highly addictive.. I have PC software on my machine dedicated to Sudoku, and I always take a look round the net for online puzzles, as well as doing a couple in the national newspapers.. Depending on how awake and focussed I am, I usually do anywhere between 1-8 of these a day... Just the basic ones mind, but I'll think I'll have a go at that mega 17 puzzle, when I'm confident enough. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted August 25, 2005 They have them in the local paper.. I use to do them during my lunch breaks while I was temping.... They're a good way to waste time.... Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted August 26, 2005 some people say that if you do puzzles like these, your mind deteriorates at a much much slower rate when you get older Share this post Link to post
Minh 0 Posted August 26, 2005 some people say that if you do puzzles like these, your mind deteriorates at a much much slower rate when you get older makes sense, if you keep your brain active like you would keep your muscles active while exercising then it would deteriote slower than ppl who don't exercise. Luk3us 63 Posted September 16, 2005 Yeah but unless they have everyone come into some building and do the Sudkos then its kidna a waste of time doing a competition... Share this post Link to post
