TheBlackOut 7 Posted September 21, 2005 In only 30 hours this tropical depression has made it all the way the a Cat. 5 Hurricane with 165 mph winds expected to increase, let me remind you Katrina was 175. This storm is most likely to hit Galveston which is very most likely to have storm surges up to 10 ft. or more. I ask for you guys, please, keep everyone in this storms way to pray for them, including the people affected by Katrina, remember, alot of them came to Texas to stay. Some moved to the coast of Texas, and this is happening again for them, please keep them in your prayers. Pray that this hurricane weakens and not strengthens as well, I live in Texas, DFW (Dallas, Fortworth Area) and they said, if this hurricanes stays at 165mph, the DFW can have up to 90mph winds, and tornadoes aswell. Please just keep this in your thoughts. http://www.cnn.com/2005/WEATHER/09/21/rita/index.html Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted September 21, 2005 I feel your pain. I had half my family relocated becaase of New Orleans, and now they're saying if Rita turns towards New Orleans that it will only take 3 inches of rain to break the "repaired" levees. And if it turns towards Houston, thats just as bad. All those people that just left that party are now back int the path of another hurricane. Last niight and the night before we had 75 MPH winds in St. Louis. And we arent even close to the Coast. Share this post Link to post

TheBlackOut 7 Posted September 22, 2005 theres Tornados all the time. But a few are F5s and shred everything they come across I wonder why they dont name the really devastating Tornados ? Probably don't last as long, I know there are tornadoes all the time(I live in Texas), but not in Minneapolis very often, expecially in the downtown areas.... Share this post Link to post

J-Fire_Man 0 Posted September 23, 2005 Meh.. No way I'd live somewhere where those sorts of things are expected... Agree It would be pretty scary when you awake in the middle of night when a tornado is coming to you. Luckily I'm in the equator, so no tornados. Share this post Link to post

TheBlackOut 7 Posted September 24, 2005 .... theres no one there.... they didnt build the walls back up high enough not my fault. Wow, we tried, our main goal, help people, then the levies, we weren't expecting this hurricane. We can always fix cities and walls, but lives? Those the things we can never restore. Not like England came to help repair the levies. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted September 28, 2005 the Army Corps. of Engineers had only like 3 weeks to repair levees. actually, it was less because of the riots and shootings. Share this post Link to post
