Howdy

Greetings-

I have just recently started playing C&C Generals. I have had the game for a couple years but my last computer couldn't handle it and would sputter. I am playing the single player campaign now but I am starting to get some chugging on the final map of the China Campaign, Nuclear Winter. I only get the chugging when a large group of GLA forces attacks but I have had large battles before and no chugging. I am well above the minimum requirements with a Pentium 4 3.4 GHz, 1.5 GB of memory, and an X800XT but on this one particular map I start chugging. Does any one have any recommendations for tweaking to possibly get the game to run a little smoother? I do have the graphics on high but my system should be able to handle it. I really enjoy the game but this chugging is ruining it for me.

Anyway this probably should have been put in a help forum but I thought I could introduce myself and get some help at the same time.

Thanks

Pinagtripan nanaman...

@ mish: If you want a super-fast experience, try lowering graphics settings to medium. But the probable reason for that chugging is the basic fact that there are a lot of GLA units... Try to taake em' out before too many come out...
