BoMbFuNk.Mc 0 Posted November 13, 2003 ive got generals zero hour, and generals, and everytime i play it, it seems to crash after a while of gameplay. now ive uninstalled generlas and zero hour, but it still crashes. anyone have any idea's why? im open to suggestions also, cause i might not have enough ram etc. heres the error lads : Technical Difficulties... You have encountered a serious error. Serious errors can be caused by many things including viruses, overheated hardware and hardware that does not meet minimum specifications for the game. Please visit forums at www.generals.ea.com for suggested courses of action or consult your manual for Technical Support contact information. now ive looked for forums, and their isnt any, only a faq. plus i aint phoning no silly 'calls cost £1 per second' things. i could use some help in order to solve my problem. thanx in advanced Share this post Link to post
Guest Rifletank v2 Posted December 7, 2003 hmmm thats pretty strange. you are not the only one that has had problems with zero hour installing/playing etc. it seems that EA didnt erase all of the ZH bugs. try to reinstall all of the games Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted January 9, 2004 How much RAM do you have? Have you edited the game with Tibed 2 at all? Share this post Link to post

carage 0 Posted January 16, 2004 I got the same error today too... and a couple of times back. Koen, could you please look into the TibEd2 MOD Selector startup issue again. After your patch, what happens is that when I try to run the MOD selector by itself it will still say it requires version 1.6 or after installed then links to the Generals webpage then nothing happens. The only way I can run the mod is to open the main Tibed2 program reload the tib project file, then play the mod through there. This process does work, but it makes in-game performance slower than usual and is more prone to crashes such as this. Share this post Link to post
Koen 2 Posted January 17, 2004 Hmm, I thought I changed that so you can choose to ignore it. But I guess I didn't release it. Share this post Link to post
Guest hyawatha15 Posted January 31, 2004 its most likely becuase u edited the game and when u did that u changed somthin that shouldent have been, the same thing happend to my friend. I hope that helped. Share this post Link to post
Guest joeb7919 Posted February 1, 2004 You either changed something you shouldnt have or changed something you can, but went to far in either increasing or decreasing the value. Whenever you are changing something it is a good idea to change one or 2 things, then export and load the game if it works save it and then do a couple others. Keep going until you get everything you want. That way if you do end up messing something up you ca n just oad the last file you saved and only have to change 1 or 2 things instead of starting over. Koen 2 Posted February 4, 2004 Alpha 11 download contains a fixed version. Guess I didn't change it properly after all. Should work now... you'll just get a warning and it'll open a website and then run. Share this post Link to post
