Have you got the concept theory about the Iron certain? I need it to complete my C&C technology theories!

You know, that's the one unexplored technology in any C&C game. We know where everything else came from but the IC is just kinda there, without much mention except that you need to blow the sh*t out of it. Other than that, little has been said of its origin, design or technology.

 

Iron Curtain

 

When the USSR's isolationist (and potentially expansionist) policy became clear, observers in the West said that an "Iron Curtain" had fallen over Europe, alluding to the strict immigration rules and general attitude of "if you are not with us, then you are against us" of the Soviet government.

 

Apparently, a scientist in the Soviet Union thought this was a great name for a remotely projected force field project he was working on as part of his graduate studies, and the name stuck. At a national science fair in Moscow, the project attracted Stalin's attention, and the military application of a large-scale version of such a device was quickly realized.

 

Unfortunately for the USSR, the first war broke out before the Iron Curtain was completed. Fortunately, the war dragged on and the prototype was completed.

 

However, the device proved not to be very useful. As with the Chronosphere, due to the limitations of computer systems at the time, it was only able to render a single unit invincible. A single invincible tank, with the dark red glow it radiated, was clearly visible in a tank battalion. Allied tank commanders quickly learned to simply target all the other tanks. By the time they'd finished off the rest of the battalion, the invulnerability effect had worn off.

Einstein rattles on about it a bit when you have to destroy the prototype.

 

From what i can remember...

 

The iron curtain interacts at a molecular level vibrating the particles extremely quickly (im guessing this must give extra energy to the intermolecular bonds...... or else the bonds would break and the tank would disintegrate.....)

My guess as to what occurs (me A-Level Physisist i'll let you know )

 

With the super fast vibrations, electrons on the atoms are excited to a higher energy level. When these excited electrons fall back to there original energy levels they release a photon whose wavelength (Energy) is equal to the colour red..... hense the red colour of Iron Curtain units.

 

Now as this effect can only occur with metals it explains why only tanks/ships could use the iron curtain and humans just die as there atoms are literaly riped appart :shock:

 

The super fast vibrations may cause either a 'field' or super strong bonds as mentioned before.

 

Exactly how the strength of these bonds/'field'/vibrations provides the invunrability...... as to how..... i don't know....... My Iron Curtain isn't working....... yet

Yeah... it's all based on real WWII era research and theory. It's all antiquated science.... that entire concept is literally impossible, as proven by new revelations in quantum theory. Our understanding of matter has made huge leaps since then, but it's still cool theoretical technology :wink:
