Australia has finnaly made itself know on the world stage 3-1 against Japan, the Asian Champions. The ref appologised after the game saying the Japanese goal should not have been given. Were now top of the table in Group F above Brazil. No offence to the Americans here but take that Bruce Arena

As for NFL its a bit slow for me. Also all the padding and helmets take away from it.

Hell, whenever I post in forums that include more than the US, I say it's football, when it's that little ball you kick around, and then the American sport is called "Tackle ball." That's my system...

The whole world calls it football apart from America Tree. It's a game that requires the use of your feet at all times except throwing the ball into play, or being a goal keeper. Hence why everyone calls it "Football".

 

Am I having Deja Vu or have we had this particular line of discussion before? Because I could go into why the world thinks Americans are dumb by calling a baseball tournament a "world series" when only American teams play in it.

I believe there was actually a good reason for calling it the "World Series"... I'll do some investigating... Personally I don't care what peoples say about soccer and football... I hate both sports so its all good.
