You should be ashamed of yourself. How could you? Firefox has EVERYTHING better than IE!

Although,I find it highly ironic that the built in spell check says "Firefox" is misspelled.

You never used it. Don't deny it either. People say that, and they've NEVER tried it. =/

Some more news about it.....

Mozilla has released the download of the first beta of its Firefox 2.0 browser a few days early. Originally scheduled for an 11 July release, some users found the 5.4 MB release candidate file on Mozilla's public FTP servers already Sunday night.

Don't expect dramatic changes, but rather subtle improvements in Firefox' user interface. For example, the "Options" menu has been reorganized and every browser tab now carries its own "Close" symbol - instead of showing the logo on the right edge of the browser tab. During our first test run, the beta appeared to run stable, but - as all Firefox updates - may require updated versions of previously installed browser extensions.

I think I'll wait before installing this.

lol it's just a release candidate for a beta. i.e. it is nothing better than the trunk compiled and released. Althoug it's nice to upgrade - you shouldn't be doing this unless you are looking for help with the testing purposes (or just want to be "cool" - but then you'd be compiling from source and running that...).

The new features are interesting and useful, though it still remains to to be seen whether or not this really needed to be a version 2. Most of the changes seem to be behind the scenes...

There's a nice review here: http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20060710-7229.html

I had to switch back to 1.5, I can't live without my google toolbar, add n edit cookies, and other extensions.

Yah, I went back because of that. Though if you can live without those extensions, go for it.

Hmm... I tried it for a couple seconds, but what really is the difference between it and 1.5? :?

The number.

I'm not getting it anytime soon. Last time I updated FF, it deleted all my favorites, etc.

Sucks for you. :P

The main change is the inline spell checker for forms, which is a cool feature that has been somewhat available as an extension but is now built in.

Apart from that there are things like tab scrolling when there are too many tabs open and individual close buttons per tab.

Favorites and stuff shouldn't be deleted - though if you are upgrading to a beta version (or like this which is a pre-beta version) I would deff. recommend a backup of your data first.

2.0 doesn't install over your 1.5 version of Firefox, so look on your desktop for a 2.0 version.
