Saracen 16 Posted September 18, 2006 Squad based tactical modern military land and air RTS. That's what I'd call this. I'm all for Small European developers that'll attempt to kick ass outta corporations like the Russians did with Perimeter. And Joint Task Force is no different. Developed by Hungarian Developer HD interactive's offspring company studio. (Commonly known for the game Imperium Galactica 3 or what is referred to as Nexus: The Jupiter Incident) Most Wanted Studios bring a modern military Ground Control to the gaming industry. Using war technologies only found on todays battlefields, this has been described as Rainbow 6 the RTS, but with tanks! Linkage to different sources below: Most Wanted's JTF Official Page Gamespot Coverage PC IGN's Coverage This is already on my shopping list, since I love these types of RTS game. Although it's out in some places, gotta wait until Friday here in the UK before I can grab myself a copy. Share this post Link to post
Guest Rabbit Posted September 18, 2006 I'm glad you posted this, I forgot the name of it, and you're not online at the moment. Share this post Link to post
Alphabear 11 Posted September 18, 2006 looks good. I wonder if it will only be just american forces you get to control or a multinational peackeeping force Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted September 18, 2006 Well you are supposed to be the commander of an International Special Forces outfit, exactly like Rainbow 6. There's no US only option. And although alot of the hardware here will be american there are also other countries weapons in it too. The force you control is only secretly funded by UN Countrys, but you are not the UN. Alphabear 11 Posted September 18, 2006 Nah cant be if there are reporters involved with the units. It wouldnt be a very secretive organisation. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted September 18, 2006 Although I said this isn't gonna be out in the UK until Friday, I was wrong... OK I wasn't wrong GAME (who took over EB UK) got it wrong. I just went to go get a few items and there it was staring me in the face. Looks like I'll now have to beg the wife for some pocket money!!! Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted September 19, 2006 The demo was quite buggy I found and there are a few things that could be ironed out, but I've heard from many people who already have the game, that these little things have been ironed out. It is strategically challenging. Whether or not there is only 1 way of doing things or not remains to be seen, but I'll be getting this game when there's a little bit of spare cash, cos I dunno what it is. Even though the game demo seemed far from perfect, I loved it! Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted September 23, 2006 Double posting FTW! Anyway, got this game today. Gotta slap a big 191Mb Patch on top (to iron out some bugs) before I can commence play.... This game hasn't been too highly reviewed with the magazines, but those who have got it absolutely love it and say the demo doesn't compare to it! For those wondering whether or not to purchase this game, I'll give it a run through its paces and bring up a review as soon as I can... So unless any of ya don't reply to this, prepare for a triple post soon  Share this post Link to post

F15pilotX 4 Posted September 25, 2006 hmmm.....I'll probably just have to stay with the demo, as I'm saving money for other games Share this post Link to post
