Discussion about the Vacant Moderator Position

The time has come to add another forum moderator to our staff. Currently we only have 3 active moderators patrolling the forums, this doesn't include the Restore Justice, Petro-Gamers.com, TibEd or GOTSN forums though.

 

This new moderator would be assigned moderator duties in the following forums (listed by category):

• General Forums

[*]CNCNZ.com

[*]C&C Games

[*]Mods | Editing | Creativity

[*]Petro-Gamers.com

[*]Other Stuff

• This new moderator should be mature and very active on the forums at least twice per day. You will need to check every forum even if your not interested in the subject matter it contains.

 

This new moderator will be considered a part of the CNCNZ.com staff and have a special badge displayed with their custom rank (if they have one). If no custom rank is used by this new moderator they will be given the Moderator rank icon .

 

Should you wish to apply for this vacant moderator position please send me a private message explaining why you think you would make a good moderator.

So, to clarify, we would need to check the top few topics of every forum twice a day?

and i think someone who is online a lot im on nearly all the time every day even when no one else is on

I should be able to check no less than 2, sometimes 3 times a day, considering my computer class is a joke, basically a 50 minute study hall

Can I nominate someone? If I can, I'd nominate The Hypnotist. He's online more often than most people, is mature enough to handle the position and follows the rules very well.

Activity is only half the battle so to speak. You need to contribute as well. You don't seem to do that.

Even though I'd like to, I agree with Beo, Hypnotist is definitely mature enough to be a moderator...sometimes, I lack that quality

However, in all honesty, this is truly up to the Admins to decide, I don't think we should be pointing fingers, because if we do, it might make people feel bad or it might make their decision harder.

And here we have a lesson on how not to be a moderator. If any mod edited another staff members posts in this fashion they would first be stripped of mod privledges and then probably be banned.

It's a standard PHP error. The erroneous statement would look something like

?>

 

It's a common error especially when coding vBulletin, since they have so many eval() statements.
