Formatted my comp, and ZH hates me

Decided to format my computer after two years (windows was so dying), and now I reinstall Generals & ZH, skirmish works fine, but everytime I try to login or create an account, I get "Could not connect to C&C Generals Zero Hour Online."

 

Naturally I got my basic windows firewall to allow the game access and even opened the ports manually, but to no avail.

(Its funny, if I enter the wrong password, it will say that instead, if I enter the correct one, it cant connect :/)

 

I havent reinstalled Gamespy Arcade on my computer yet, is it required to be physicly on my computer?

Or not, it still gives me the same error whenever I try to join a game, this is getting annoying.

All my other games can be played online without problem, my firewall isnt blocking any of the game's files so im at a loss.

I tried earlier to forcefully have them opened (always), but it didnt work either, besides, my firewall has Generals amongst its exceptions for which it will open the port it asks for.

McAfee Virusscan/Firewall is what I got, it used to block Generals/ZH at first, but I allowed it access, its very weird.

I can enter the lobby just fine, its only when I try to play a game online that I get thrown out.

I have a similar problem, only a little stranger. I can play Generals on-line just fine; I can play Zero Hour on-line as well; But when my buddy and I try to play Zero Hour on-line at the same time, we get booted out before we can even build a map. A "Lost Connection" error appears. We have been playing Zero Hour since it came out without any problems, but this issue started around the holidays.

 

Has anyone had this same issue?

Try killing off the Options.ini file in the MyDocuments/Generals folder it gets corrupted easy and affects online play.
