Sonic 292 Posted November 29, 2006 Time for another trip around the community to find out the latest news. Some of this dates back to about a week ago, yes I'm playing catch up again. CNC Source is celebrating it's 4th birthday. To mark the occasion they have posted lots of screen shots from the Tiberian Sun Rising and Rise of the Drones mods. Anyone playing the Red Alert: A Path Beyond mod is advised to download and install the various fan made maps that have been released for the current version of the APB. These maps are in the rotation on the official APB server and if you don't have these maps you will get dropped from the game. You can download the maps at ModDB. You should definitely get Map Pack A and in a couple of days, Fan Map Pack 1 will be available. Visit the Red Alert: A Path Beyond site for more. Dackel, a leading Clan Wars player for Zero Hour, has started his own site. This new site features numerous videos, images, replays, and more. Worth a look for anyone interested in getting into the competitive world of multiplayer Zero Hour. The Single Player Map Making Contest has been announced at Project Perfect Mod. TheBlackOut 6 Posted November 29, 2006 I love your community roundup stuff Sonic, appreciate how long it must take sometimes to get all that stuff. Share this post Link to post
Banshee 28 Posted November 29, 2006 Yea, great job. The ones I do on PPM usually take 30 minutes or more, depending on the size. Considering that he had at least 5 sources, it wasn't done in few minutes. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted November 30, 2006 lol.. I didn't even notice he'd posted anything here haha. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 292 Posted November 30, 2006 Depending on the amount of news and how much time I have that can 30-45 minutes, sometimes an hour. The script I'm using still has a few bugs in it so when you view the community round up posts on the main site they are a little more spaced out than they appear in the forums. The script I'm using inserts extra break tags <BR> where I don't them. I'm not very good with editing PHP scripts so I don't know what to change to solve the annoying problem.
