HELP! black ground, graphic problem

HI !

 

My C&C Generals has a graphic problem. In the game, the ground is black !!! All units, buildings, lakes a.s.o are normal, but the ground (earth) is entire black !!

I have a Geforce 2 GtS card, so that shouldn't be the problem and the latets drivers?

 

 

Can anybody plz help !??!?!

This is getting to be a common issue with the geforce 2 card there has been alot of posts with this issue :shock: maybe you should try lowering detail disabeling aniostropic filtering or anti-aliasing in your nview options other than that you might need a new card cus the geforce 2 is quite old.

Judging from other posts here on our forums I think if you tried installing the 45.23 drivers from http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_archive.html you may get some better results.

 

Just as Osey said the GeForce 2 is getting very old now and may not like the drivers when it comes to running games like Generals.

I've got a Geforce 2 GTS as well, and I used 13.83 (very old) for a long time with no problem. Recently, I upgraded to 45.23 which fixes problems with Beyond Good and Evil (and it looks much better in GTA Vice City as well) and that works for Generals too... Newer drivers appear not to work though.

I had the same trouble as JanZ3 and Koen is correct about using the older driver that he mentioned. Generals runs fine now.
