Replacement C&C Icons

I was having a browse of the popular Deviant Art site when I came across these. Replacement C&C icons for Windows. Some of the icons for the original games can look rather old these days, plus some of icons EA made for games like Zero Hour and the First Decade pack look awful. These icons are much better. Perfect for people with big displays.

I've used these icons to replace the old ones I had in the files section, look here http://www.cncnz.com/files/. Unfortunately the creator of these icon packs missed out making an icon for Yuri's Revenge.

I downloaded both of them, The first pack everything works, in the second pack the following do not work.

I tryed downloading them from cncnz and the deviant page. they are exactly the same.

From the looks of your screen shots your using Windows 98 or ME I think. Maybe they are compatible with those operating systems. I'm using Windows XP SP2

Windows 2000 Pro SP4

 

I fixed them myself, I will post a link in here with the ones that work for me now. All I had to do was open them in Paint SHop Pro and resave them. All is well now.

If any of you were having the same problem that I was, these icons work. funny thing is, they are all in there and saved the same way, the files just ended up being smaller... 1.8MB

Wow, they look great! Finally I can upgrade that old icon sets from EA and Westwood...

 

One question: I use to work with graphics sometime... so, what program did you use for the making of an icon from a jpeg or a gif?
