IGN C&C3 DEMO REVIEW + A LOT OF COOL SCREENSHOTS!!!

Recommended Posts

This is the update that we (or I personally) have been waiting for!

IGN has just posted a "hands on review" of the upcoming C&C3 demo! :D  :D

UPDATE: Also Gamespot has posted 5 new screenshots here: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/comman...tml?sid=6166391.

BACK TO IGN:

*The demo WILL be posted next week. IGN claims:" The exact day is, as of right now, not perfectly settled, but it will be next week. Could be Monday :D . Could be Friday  . Either way you can start your anticipation engines  ".

*You can play ONE tutorial mission as GDI, one Skirmish map on any four difficulty settings, (oh you will love this) TWO campaign missions!!!

Quotes from IGN on the single player missions, for both however, you will play as GDI:

"The first mission sends you, the player, to the North Carolina"

"The second of the campaign missions is set in Alexandria Egypt"

"The skirmish map included in the demo is called Small Town USA. You'll be able to use the GDI in this mission and fight against NOD. It's a two player skirmish map with four difficulty levels ranging from easy to brutal. Only one of the five AI personalities (Balanced AI) is included with the demo as well. You can expect to see rush, turtle, guerilla, and steamroller AI routines in the skirmish in the final product. The map takes place in one of the cleaner blue zones where tiberium hasn't taken control so there are plenty of buildings to knock down in the process of stomping Nod." (Nod Will Have Its Revenge!)

Read the FULL artical and see some cool screenshots here (Note that IGN has also posted A BUNCH OF NEW screenshots on thier gallery):

UPDATE:

*On the first screenshot in the IGN article.

>The #2 arrow points out the mysterious Nod structure is a command center.

>The #3 arrow points out a mutant hovel.

>The Nod Radar is behind the construction yard.

*On the last screenshot of the article

>(GDI fans can wait no longer) THE ION CANNON IN USE ON A NOD REFINERY + a power plant!!!

Awh so it isn't a multiplayer demo? :( Alas...

Also, it doesn't specifically mention if you can actually play as Nod in the skirmish mission either, but I'll assume you can because if you can't I'll kill someone...

I demand demo NOW! Not that I could play it, still waiting on my bits and pieces to arrive... Hopefully Monday. :)

Also, what is the point of the Radar again? Since its real function is built into the MCV? Pah.

Awh...

Well I suppose it will be useful so at least I will know every single weakness and strength, if any, GDI have.

And I read the demo comes with cutscenes too... I wonder if the blowing up the Philly is the second cutscene, that "sets the tone for the rest of the game".... :D

One can only hope. Even perhaps a little show of the Scrin.

I also hope that the demo will be released Monday and I get to play it before I go to my college classes.

Actually I hope the demo comes out Thursday at the earliest, as I have a bunch of assignments to do next week..

And if that demo comes out.... Well.... Hmm.... Priorities kick into gear, if you know what I mean. :P

How big is the demo? I'd assume around a GB or so?

Yeah it'll be roughly 980mb - 1.2Gb dependant on how compressed they can make the cut-scenes.

On Skirmish, Predator told me you can use GDI or nod with full tech tree aparently.

Oh and no scrin in this. They come in within the 3rd GDI mission, so they're purposely left out.
