GameSpot C&C 3 XBox 360 Preview

Recommended Posts

GameSpot have posted a new hands on preview of Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars for the Xbox 360. This preview takes a look at how the Xbox Live Vision camera works in the game, discusses the exclusive multiplayer modes and more. It even mentions a possible release date for the Xbox 360 version of C&C 3, scheduled for a May release. There were two new screen shots as well.

Here is a small sample from the preview.

C&C 3's multiplayer game also offers support for the Xbox Live Vision camera, allowing you to see your opponents onscreen as you play. The game will pop up a window with everyone's face (provided that's what they aimed their camera at) in each corner of the screen. At the end of a match, the windows will move to form a virtual "winner's circle" with the victorious player's window growing to suitably large "in your face" proportions. Though the feature doesn't seem totally practical for serious players (we were much more focused on stamping our foes out of existence), it's funny for those watching, and if you get taken out, it lets you try and mess with your fellow players by making faces at them (or other unmentionable camera-related hijinks).

Cick here to read more.

Ironic really that after the BfME2 summit we were the first to report on such stuff before Gamespot, IGN or others were able to talk about it. Yet I'm still under NDA, and everything here regarding the X-Box 360 version is what I know. Another redundant disclosure that'll be old news once my NDA expires.

Its a case of the fan sites losing out to the big money gaming sites.

why dont I get credits for posting it keep

Don't tell me how to post news thanks. The person posting the update will decide if someone is to receive credit. Plus I don't want a page full news topics thanks everyone for the news

might actually be cheaper for me to get an Xbox 360 and TW through it rather than PC

Looks rather fun though. Props to EA for some continual quality work

I've played TD on the Sega Saturn, I have to say I like the PC interface better, but man, that was back in the day....

to play it on PC I'd have to buy a whole new comp (cause right now I have a lappy, and there's no upgrading it past what it currently is capable of)

I wouldn't think so, but will 360 players be able to play PC players?

If this was a possibility EA would have advertised this a key feature and hyped it up already. So that would be a no.

Guest Rabbit

They already told us at the first summit that it's a big no.

PC players would have an extreme advantage.
