Command & Conquer 3 Patch v1.03 Released

Patch version 1.03 for Command & Conquer 3: TIberium Wars is now available as EA continue to correct the issues affecting multiplayer games. Here are the v1.03 patch notes.

 

Version 1.03 Patch Notes - March 30, 2007

 

This patch for Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars addresses two

issues:

 

BUG FIXES

- Fixed an error that caused players to experience unexpected disconnections and freezes while in online lobbies and Automatch search.

 

- Fixed an error that prevented players in online lobbies from chatting globally after sending private messages to other players.

This patch can be downloaded simply by logging into C&C 3 Online. If you have any problems downloading and installing the patch via that method you can download the stand alone executable from the link below.

Another one! Damn... Can't they just make a nice 1.1 patch and be done with it for a month?

 

lol.. I haven't even gotten around to playing online yet and I'll have to download three patches just to be able to.

No you won't. Just download what ever the latest patch is. Each patch contains the the previous patches updates.

Unfortunately, the patch gets 10MB bigger everytime they release one. For some reason, they seem intent on keeping the EXE files of all released versions. It's trivial to modify the patch to exclude the 1.1 and 1.2 EXE's (yet still keep all the patching), but I think it's better if everyone uses the builtin update system... that is smart and only downloads what it does not yet have.

Hmm, cant seem to connect at all after installing this patch. Others have reported the same problem as well, I believe.

I stand corrected. The game patcher from the CD also downloads the full 40MB, even though it does not need it all. A bit stupid, first downloading all those files and then not using them.

No wonder the EA FTP server is overloaded... from there it will take ages. Thanks to the CNCNZ mirror, I'll get it in 3min anyway
