KyleBrogan 0 Posted June 20, 2007 This was just something a friend and I were talking about the other day, but we thought it would be interesting to see a mod where the factions from C&C 3 were put head to head against the different armies in Generals. You know, like Nod vs USA Superweapons, China Tank vs GDI, or even GLA vs Scrin. While there would be some definite balance issues, it was just a random idea. (You know where conversations can take you sometimes at 2AM.) Though I would LOVE to see USA Air Force take on Scrin's air superiority. Independance Day, anyone? - KB Share this post Link to post
PunWisp 0 Posted June 21, 2007 well it would be an odd match up sense C&C -C&C 3 was 50 years, an dit was like 2057 or something thats about 50 years from when generals takes place, so C&C factions are more advanced. but it would be funny for china to look for a stealthed nod base, and there is also a HUGE advantage on generals side that would put C&C 3 **** out of luck you can build well over 100 super weapons.... C&C factions can only make 1..... plus generals can build more faster, they can make like 15 dozers and in 5 mins create one giant base of doom Share this post Link to post

PunWisp 0 Posted June 22, 2007 well lets see, GDI, NOD, and scrin have BY FAR more advanced technlogy, generals is more of present time. Generals can overwhelm any of the factions with more then 100 nukes, generals infantry are stronger, C&C 3 has more gadgets. mammoth tanks(before 5 patch) would pwn most units, either way generals has by far the biggest unfair advantage being able to create millions of super weapons, combine all factions of C&C 3 vs all factions of generals, that would be a intense battle, but yet generals has the super weapons(unless you limit them to 1) generals beats in infantry, C&C 3 beats in vehicles, C&C 3 beats in air wise. technically this would kinda be a endless battle of war, unless you make C&C 3 more advanced because the fact they are from about 50 years in the future Share this post Link to post

Technically, well mods were typical, hell, if games were, games wouldn't be fun. Look at all the C&C games, a tank cannon fire would kill infantry one hit. They can take multiple. So the C&C 3 armies can "wtf pwn" them? I've seen mods like this before. It'd work like Overlord would match the Mammoth in power etc etc Share this post Link to post

KyleBrogan 0 Posted June 24, 2007 I think it would make for some interesting, and yet pretty fair battles. I mean, ZH weaponry generally seemed a lot faster. Take, for example, the USA snipers vs the GDI sniper team. Pathfinders just rock infantry, and would put the buzzers to sleep for good. The fact that most of the defensive structures (except for the USA firebase and the GLA tunnel) are air and land weapons, does offer a potent balance for the C&C3 armies who need an infantry, vehicle and air defence cannon. In addition, the ZH armies don't have to worry about "Land Control." They might not be able to use EVA, and so their builders would still be vulnerable, but they could also build wherever they want, whenever they want, instead of waiting for the MCV or "mini-MCV" units. There's other things to be considered, of course, but it would just make for an interesting fight. Personally, when I play C&C3, especially as GDI, I wish for a King Raptor to come out of the airfield, I vainly want a Pathfinder to sneak his way from the barracks, and I wish the Humvee could show the APC a thing or two.
