Luk3us 63 Posted August 15, 2007 Seems to me, that to appease the masses regarding their disregard for the TS storyline, they're going to fix it all in the expansion pack. Since its going to be a prequel, and a sequel all rolled into one.. Will they fix it up and make the storylines make sense? Or will they really **** it up big time? Only time will tell... And lets hope their celebrity cast of actors act a bit more than just reading their lines... *Cough* Lt Kirce *Cough*.... Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted August 15, 2007 Either that or they're dusting off Adam "Ismael" Isgreen's original C&C 3 storyline notes and taking a good look into it. According to the design director at Petroglyph, C&C 3 was an amalgamation of ideas from Adam Isgreen's version of C&C 3 (like blowing up the Philadelphia) as well as the unreleased project MMO Continuum, with much other stuff thrown in for good measure. I believe that EA have probably done a bit more research on Tiberian Sun, as well as looking at some of the the notes written for the orignal storyline to find a balance that will work and please everyone. Maybe even Joe Kucan played a hand in helping them work things out. The best way to get the acting done right, and the mood set correctly would be to get Joe to Direct the footage. His experience to this Franchise's movies are 2nd to none. Like I said before if Joe had been directing the last lot, it would have been Kane who would have shot Qatar and not the soldier. If Nod are still trying to head towards good guy territory, that's fine with me. But the only thing left to ask in terms of Kane, is make sure EA show his never ending Brutal and evil side. sith_wampa 6 Posted August 16, 2007 Yeah, having Joe direct the FMV's would definitely give the game that C&C feel again... As long as there is good music!! Share this post Link to post

hagren 0 Posted August 19, 2007 They could improve this game to be oustanding, or completely shy fans off. thats why (APOC, are you listening?) EALA has to be uber-anal on canon and gameplay, you know, when setting is pre-TW in the expansion, satellite only exists with the comset-station, GDI has gold as colour, single building for infantry, tiberium lifeforms, flat hand of Nod, you name it. Gben 20 Posted August 21, 2007 This will be a tricky one for EA no doubt. I'm leaning towards more heartbreak for the diehard fans, because the chances of EA being that anally retentive to satisfy us. Personally I don't think Joe needs to Direct. Sure, as one of the franchise veterans he should have a lot more input into the creation of the fiction, it would be a terrible waste otherwise. I thought, overall, the final FMV product was great. Maybe, it lost that personal touch that made BLAIR WITCH famous, and maybe the higher the production values, the further away you get from those core foundations... not much you can do about that. Heartbreak for naysayers... but I'm still going to have fun with it! -gben Share this post Link to post
hagren 0 Posted August 21, 2007 Well you know, id like EA to create something that satisfy both groups. I know there are a lot of people who say the game is good or beyond, even as CnC, and this group inherits xy number of fans too. BUT there are those who have their quibbles qith CnC3, and i would like them to be happy about that game, i like peace I am fully aware, though, that some would rather stick a knife into their eye than liking an EA RTS.
