JahSpoR 0 Posted August 19, 2007 I relly like CnC3 alot. I relly do... BUT I have just read about "Kane's Wrath", and about that they want to show the the "brigde" (connection) between Tiberian Sun and "Command & Conquer 3". ... That they will tell what happend in between (thats how I understood it), and how GDI and NOD went from "Mammoth MK's" , "Cyborgs" and "Wolverines" to "Mammoth Tanks", "Avatars" and "Zonetroopers". And I can't be happier to hear this!... BUT What I relly hoped to see EA write would be something about The Forgotten (mutants if you want) and Cabal. Did the Forgotten never rebel against GDI and NOD again?, and where CABAL, "the computer of all computers" relly destroyed forever?! Visceroids that lurked behind cliff's in the gloomy wilderness. Visceroids that maked you think ONE more time before you send frightened scouts into half destroyd towns. What happend to them? This are things that made me so sad about the new "theme" of command & conquer. It is not that I am the biggest EA hater on earth. Becouse I relly believe that they have made a big accomplishment with the new CnC. But the story is ripped into two, and sadly it is very clear wich part is missing. What do you think? please! - Jah$poR Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted August 20, 2007 Actually the intel database talks about the forgotten, and how they go into exile in the harsh Red Zones. Although that is kinda iffy at best, it does to an extend explain what happened to them. As for the Tiberium wildlife, meh, maybe the forgotten ate them all? Share this post Link to post
Azrael 0 Posted August 20, 2007 Oh yeah, now I remember, the Nod Intel Database entry... But yeah, the Tiberium Veinhole Monsters, those dog-like mutant animals, etc... They're absent, and there are many missions that could have integrated those things, especially the Red Zone located missions... Share this post Link to post
JahSpoR 0 Posted August 20, 2007 Very glad that people agrees. Red Zones is just a term of hard difficulity. But red zones should be a place filled small hostile mutant bases. Just like in TS & FS. I haven't seen anyone at all. Mutants relly was giving something special to C&C. They showed that the people was also struggling to survive. In C&C3, There relly is no people. Many have escaped to blue zones,. but radioactive tiberium infected people would not be welcome in such place. Then where did they go? Share this post Link to post
hagren 0 Posted August 20, 2007 The Tiberium in the red zones should be extremly dangerous and devastating, and there really should be tons of Mutants and visceroids trying to suck the life out of you. Albeit not just with presence, but implementation into the story. Share this post Link to post
JahSpoR 0 Posted August 20, 2007 Agree! This is like the one and only thing EA is missing. Else they have don a great job! But time for changes is still there. Share this post Link to post
AfronovA 0 Posted October 31, 2007 the red zones should have the tiberuim life forms n also I think thats where CABAL might be hiding and experimenting, especially on the life forms...heh thats probs why there wasn't any in CNC3. Now thats a Thought! Share this post Link to post
hagren 0 Posted October 31, 2007 Reemmber when Umagon suffered from Tiberium mutation in FS? I guess, like with radiation, first the body mutates, becoming resisntat to the source, then dies off. So it would make snese when all these lifeforms just died out without anyone noticing it. Share this post Link to post
JahSpoR 0 Posted October 31, 2007 cmon! Some people from Tjernobyl still lives this day. Gotta be kidding if you think ALL Mutants and lifeforms just died in a few years. Some people might been more mutan'ts than others, and those who wasn't too much, might still live. Anyways.. What happend to the gloomy tundra towns?.. Loved those snow bunkers and gas stations, with a few townsfolk walking around. now that's atmosphere and realistic geography. even though the graphics wasn't soo good, it still gets a 10/10. hagren 0 Posted October 31, 2007 There are visceroids and mutants, so there goes your point Share this post Link to post
JahSpoR 0 Posted October 31, 2007 There are visceroids and mutants, so there goes your point Visceroids in C&C3 ? where!? Even scrin don't know where the **** they went!! Those mutants are boring. Sitting In somekind of super weapon looking building, playing cards, waiting for a cute engineer to come in and say: "Hey you get a little money, if you use your useless minigun to irritate the enemy! I know you can't use the money becouse the stores are blown away. But you can put them in the microwave and eat them! (and yeah mutants LOVE money extracted from tiberium! so glowy!!) so what youre waiting for green dudes!? go irritate! use your irrigun and irr the enemy! ir IRIRIRIRRRR!!!1!" U GET MY POINT!? hagren 0 Posted October 31, 2007 There are some in certain maps, and you can create them with Scrin, too, i think with the Corruptor. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted November 1, 2007 Just ignore the mutants entirely, its easier that way. Removing the mutant hovels would be the best thing EA could do at this point. As the mutants are a complete waste of everyone's time. Perhaps if they were to make an expansion they could be include and be given some proper attention, but since that isn't going to happen. Just ignore them entirely. Share this post Link to post

Luk3us 63 Posted November 1, 2007 Visceroids are of a mild annoyance nothing more. The adult ones were so much more nasty, in TS and FS. Share this post Link to post
JahSpoR 0 Posted November 1, 2007 Yeh. It was kinda spooky! loved those flying lightning squids also. but anyone at all that agrees on my "mutan part" ? Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted November 1, 2007 You mean the Tiberium Floaters? Yeah they were cool too. Its a pitty all environmental creatures were removed in favour of a more "competitive" game. There should be an option though to enable them in unranked games though. Share this post Link to post

The adult ones were so much more nasty, in TS and FS. ..and they are suppose to be annoyance... what do you expect? harvest ichor for scrin? or automatically patch 'emselves to damage buildings & vehicles? Luk3us 63 Posted November 2, 2007 They should be able to destroy buildings and units like they did back in TS. At the moment they just suck, and aren't even worth worrying about. Share this post Link to post

Also the ice maps was fun, becouse you had to move big vehicles strategicly not to sink them in the water. I think a game is better when the eviroment is a bit threadning too. Right now the only thread about inviroment is sending troops into tiberium fields. a bit boring if you ask me Share this post Link to post
ThisGuy 0 Posted November 2, 2007 im not sure but i think you can use the mapmaker and place AI controlled viceroids in your map. And if you look (or pester someone) hard enough you may find a mod with viceroids and things like that. :? Share this post Link to post

And I don't think im good enough to draw a "floater". Not sure how hard it is with the visceroid though Share this post Link to post
