Luk3us 63 Posted December 2, 2007 Gamereplays.org proudly presents CnCLab, its balance and gameplay enhancement project for C&C. Following and expanding upon the acclaimed "battletest" molds, it's an in-house project that's been under development and play testing since before patch 1.09 was announced - and already included all of its changes. Don't ask Some of the C&C3 top players were involved in this top-class modification and could contribute to its development. Make sure to check it out in the subforums above, FAQ and download section here:http://www.gamereplays.org/community/index...howtopic=315361 Just a few highlights: [*]Fully automated installer - clean, no-frills, one-click installation that won't affect your original C&C3 installation or require fiddling with folders. A new icon shows up in your desktop to run the game in Lab mode, while you can use the original shortcut to run the vanilla version. [*]Improved minimaps - Many 1v1 maps got art-reworked, with a clean style that removes the noise while still keeping the important details. [*]Minimap dots now are at least 4-pixels wide - No more faded-out tiny dots, finally a really usable minimap for C&C3! [*]New 1v1 multiplayer maps: - Tournament Desert - Classic C&C Generals map, revamped and improved from the public "v2" version - Tournament Terrain by AgmLauncher - Great original design by Launcher, focuses on multi-pronged expansion, flanking and alternative harassment. - Tournament Arena and Pipeline Problems blue fields now start practically empty, and regenerate faster [*]New 2v2 multiplayer maps: - Fallen Empire - Classic C&C Generals map, revamped and improved from the public "v2" version - Blade Storm - Classic Starcraft "gosu" map, flawlessly converted to C&C3 [*]Vastly improved counter system and factional diversity. That's just a teaser of course, there's much more to see and enjoy in the package. Check our Quickstart guide for a brief overview on CnCLab philosophy and changes. If you like what you read, don't think twice: face the ultimate C&C3 challenge! I've played a few matches with this new balance mod, and its pretty decent. Share this post Link to post
Redmond Boyle 0 Posted December 2, 2007 That seems kinda cool, tho it doesn't really seem like a big improvement. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted December 2, 2007 Interesting, i might download this Not interesting.... well not to me anyway. Its just GR.org's patch for the way they feel C&C 3 should play. Just say no to unofficial patches for games. And Luk3us, you seem to post a lot of GR.org related links here for some reason. Share this post Link to post
JahSpoR 0 Posted December 2, 2007 Im sorry but I can't see anything bad in posting news about mod's. What's bad in modifying as long as you can choose not to. We've seen mod's coming from every corner of the world here on CNCNZ. Would be sad if we get too pecky about it for C&C3 Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 7 Posted December 2, 2007 It's just GR's attitude. If they think it's "broken" they'll go off and try and "fix" it. Whatever, if it makes them happy, good for them I suppose. Share this post Link to post
JahSpoR 0 Posted December 2, 2007 guess 90% of all mods are with that "attitude".. Some becouse they think it's boring or not good enough. Or becouse they think they can do it better. Even some becouse they wan't reputation. Or becouse it's fun to make. Most of them turns out pretty bad,. So I don't see the reason to be negative about the good ones.. Share this post Link to post

There's your answer Jah$poR. And now we wait until someone from GR comes here to bad mouth me and give us the usual how great GR is speech  Share this post Link to post

I think they realize they have a good amount of supporters as well as people that dislike their attitude. I browse their site and forums a bit (hey, its good for strats and stuff) but I saw one guy asking why people at the Petroglyph forum seem to dislike GR.org... Well, this is kind of the reason why people do. Share this post Link to post
CCHyper 3 Posted December 3, 2007 Hmm ok, Sonic and Spor and convinced me. I was interested in the maps mainly Share this post Link to post

JahSpoR 0 Posted December 4, 2007 Lul I get the point, but EA seems to like them with all the banners and stuff Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 7 Posted December 4, 2007 Duh, because they're the "competitive" gamers. If you want your game to fly by them, you have to cater to them. Share this post Link to post
