After some private discussion with other administrators, we've decided it's time display names were turned off. They have now been disabled due to the reason that people are changing them rather regularly, and it's causing confusion and annoyance among members.

 

If you absolutely want a name change, request it in the Administration requests, but really, we're not going to change it if it's unnecessary or if it's too often.

I'm really beginning to lose faith in this community. It's going downhill like the Den. I'm not kidding around here either. I'm really beginning to think CNCNZ is losing what made it great - the fun, loose atmosphere. It's drying up and turning into another elitist, strict, humorless drone in the community.

I liked the community before we had name changes, I liked it when we did, and I still do now. I don't see the problem, and I agree with the change. It was getting pretty irksome.

This isn't getting stupid and not strict, it's just annoying to see 4 members change their names a day, and to have 4 other members PM me asking who the hell they are. It even confuses me. I mean, jeez, you changed your name twice in one day, and you change them to random internet / game characters on a constant basis.

 

Don't complain that you're finding it not fun and that we bitch, you're always picking stupid fights with random members and you've always been one to evade rules in the past just because you're a moderator, as if you think of that as an excuse. Don't complain, just deal with it. The site is still enjoyable, and this is a rather minor change if you ask me.

No I didn't. I've never changed in the same day. It might be frequent when I'm feeling bored or I made a set I like more but I at least stick with the same one for a few days. And if people get confused, well, they're not paying enough attention. It's that simple. Besides, who cares if anyone wants a name change?

 

Not to mention, everyone expects me to change my name. You're all used to it. Schizo, split personality, etc.

I don't take kindly to stupidity. And as it stands right now, I'm on a shorter fuse than usual. Like right now for instance. I'm up to potentially working seven days a week until five every night, and on top of that I don't get much sleep so it does tend to make for a very easily irritated me.
