Is it like a remake of Godzilla? Because Godzilla took place in New York and Cloverfield does too. It also seems that a Oversized lizard/thing is attacking. Will it be better?

You do realize that Godzilla is Japanese and that the American version was just an American remake of the early Godzilla movies.

 

As for cloverfield, no it is not godzilla. The producer said that he has always wanted america to have its own monster in the same way that Japan has Godzilla.

I am legend happened in NY.

Saw a trailer in the cinema last night with some aliens attacking NY, where the Lady of freedom, or whatever that french piece of metal is called get's it's head cut off by a laser beam

Half through that trailer though, it shows a woman getting attacked. I can't tell if it's like bio-suited men or "the aliens" or w/e.

I've got to be honest, I've never heard of or don't know anything about this movie. With a name like "Cloverfield" I would have assumed it was some sort of period drama.

Don't forget all Spiderman movies, all X-Men movies, Men in black, Stuart Little, Catch me if you can, Daredevil, The day after tomorrow, Fantastic Four, Hitch, Lord of War, War of the worlds, King Kong, Hellboy, Rush Hour, Independance Day, Armageddon, Deep Impact, Vanilla Sky, Die Hard, the Gremlins, Planet of the Apes, The Godfather, West Side Story, Goodfellas, Highlander. The list goes on and on and on.

 

Oh and Sonic, the movies (and games, photos, etc.) have probably (partially) made it into the most recognisable city on the planet.

Even the young dudes in my neighborhood has caps with NY tagged.

Every time I turn on my tv theres "sex and the city" or something.

And whenever a movie comes up it's about NY too.

 

I mean wtf! that's a big city yeah but it's a friggin commercial brand!

It must cost a lot, a loooot of money to shoot a day in an abondoned part of New York (like in I am legend).
