APOC's Latest Blog - Including C&C 3 Patch 1.10 Details

Recommended Posts

Community manager, APOC, has posted his latest blog on the Official C&C 3 Site. This blog should be read because is contains the proposed balance changes for Command & Conquer 3 Patch 1.10. Here is a sample.

Hey all you Command & Conquerors,

I decided to take quite a different approach with my blog this week, after all, it's been a while since my last update in mid-December, and while I'm sure you loved reminiscing with me about the epic year of Command & Conquer that was 2007, it's time to start 2008 off with some fresh and new information. As you know we are nearing the end of our first ladder season for Command & Conquer 3 and I think it's been quite a success. Over 50,000 people have joined the ladder since the season began and we've really narrowed it down to some of the best C&C 3 players in the world in our Grand Championship Tournament.

Now as we look towards Ladder Season 2, we are also looking towards the next patch for Command & Conquer 3, patch 1.10, that has got to be a record...at least for us, hehe. Before the holiday break and up until the very second you are reading this, we've been researching our official message boards and all the fan-site boards and have started to formulate exactly what balance changes we will do in patch 1.10.

Below is a PROPOSED LIST OF CHANGES which we are looking into. Patch 1.10 will not be a massive patch like Patch 1.03, but it will aim to make some specific critical balance changes in a small impacting nature. None of the changes which you will read below have been solidified, and I am sure all will be hotly debated on the message boards.

If my tournament performances are not enough indication - then I certainly realise that I don't play the same way as everybody else when I see balance patches like this that don't suit my playing style.

But yeah, and orca strike that can only damage a power plant half way - this is a waste.

Who uses the orca strike - what's it good for?

And I don't like feeling the wrath of the catalyst missle, so glad it's being talked about nerfing.

And I do agree with the comments about the firehawk though.
