Kane's Wrath Community Summit Blog

Recommended Posts

The Official C&C 3 Site has even more coverage from last month's Kane's Wrath Community Summit. Its in the form of a blog written by Nukewave, the webmaster of CNC Vision. Read through the blog to find out what Nukewave had to say about his experience at the community summit and what he thought of Kane's Wrath, here's a small sample.

The game was not supposed to have a prequel part of the story, but they wanted to unify the canon for the fans. The truth is, most of what this expansion is comprised of is fan ideas, and it really shows. I could especially tell because my site (www.cncvision.org) is all about fan ideas for CNC games that I show to APOC, and many of the ideas fans post on my message boards are in this game. Jim stated that he really hopes each of us can find something we wanted in the game in this expansion pack. It is also worth noting that the Titan and Wolverine weren’t going to be a part of the game, but due to APOC pushing for them, they are now in, so everyone can thank APOC!

We also got a first look at the FMV sequences, which looked extremely promising. I think they learned from the CNC3 FMV’s and improved in the new sequences. The story sounds very rich, and I think a lot of Tiberian Sun fans will be happy with the new plot. Kane looks as menacing as ever with his mask. Natasha Henstridge will play a role similar to Killian in CNC3, and Carl Lumbly will be the power hungry leader of the Black Hand. The FMV’s showed some exceptional acting, backed up by a new story that will link parts of the canon for the fans.

Some interesting read in this blog, click here for more.

I really can't wait to play the game and see how EA is putting the canon together :D

It will be fun to see how they've decided some situations... fans have been bringing up a lot of discussion and different ideas.

It'll be fun to see the result :)

I've found that flaws in FMV's usually only present themself when you've watched the FMV a couple of time.

There's a lot of processing that the brain has to do and it's hard, if not impossible, to get it all in the first look.

Let's just hope there are very little or no flaws in KW :P

I only watched the FMV's once, and already thought the flawed (everything just was a little stiff, especially on GDI). It's good to see they're learning and improving on stuff that failed in C&C3. It really makes me want to play KW even more :)

Oh, and thanks APOC, for bringing back the Titan!
