I am sort of an audiophile so I'd like some options. And I'm looking into spending between $80 and $120.

3.5mm isn't the way to go if it is at all possible get a USB connection, and Logitech makes some good Headsets (yes even 3.5mm).

USB is the absolute worst for headphones and headsets. I have open 3.5mm ports on the front that override my speakers. USB will not do that.
