How many of these cars do you recognize from famous movies? http://sploid.gizmodo.com/how-many-of-these-cars-do-you-recognize-from-famous-mov-1527412959

Well the information you received is incorrect. As stated above. There are no plans to close CNCNZ.com down. Its business as usual around here

Some clarifications here. It was just called Command & Conquer, not technically or officially Generals 2. It was never ever a browser based game. It was marketed as a AAA Frostbite 2 powered game. Your not confusing it with Tiberium Alliances are you? Did it ever get to Frostbite 3? I'm not 100% sure if they ever implemented the new engine features. The were close to it I think. So it was probably still Frostbite 2.

It must be a cool feeling for the Renegade X team to have former Westwood Studios developers promote, comment and spread positive feedback about Renegade X. People such as Steve Wetherill: Vice President and CTO of Westwood Studios, Elie Arabian: Westwood Art Director, Rick Donnelly: C&C Renegade Maps Designer and Frank Klepacki, come on you guys should know him, have all shared their thoughts via social media. If you want to read these, check out the round up of the posts in this thread on the Renegade X forums.

Looks like The Forgotten in Tiberium Alliances are about to get some reinforcements. As new units are being added to the game, such as the Forgotten Commando and the Forgotten Dreadnought. Keep checking this thread on the Tiberium Alliances forums over the next few days for more updates on the new units for The Forgotten.

I could never get into the Bioshock games. I recall buying the first on the Xbox 360, played through some of it, so boring... just never really liked it. Sold it. Have shown no interested in the franchise since then. But something feels odd about this story. The studio is closing because they were doing to well? If its not dead, its on life support. The piracy issue is why PC game sales have declined steadily in recent years.

How to Link to or Share a Link to a File on CNCNZ.com?
Sonic posted a topic in Site / Forum News & Discussion
Since our Downloads section re-opened I've been asked by a couple of visitors, how do you link to or share a link to a particular file on CNCNZ.com? With some extra coding, every download now has what is known as a "Permalink". Located just next to the "Details" button, as seen in the sample image below. All you have to do is right click here to copy and paste a Permalink to the file of your choice, this can be shared anywhere. This is the ONLY way to link to our files on CNCNZ.com. The real download links are hidden and we have blocked direct linking or "hot-linking" to our files. -
Time for a new poll here at CNCNZ.com. As you may or may not know the public beta for Renegade X gets started on the 26th of February. So with that in mind, the new poll question is Will you be participating the Renegade X public beta? Its either Hell Yes or No Way, nice and simple for this one. To vote in this poll you need to be on the main page of our site, and cast your vote in the poll box on the right side bar. You can also check the the current results in the Poll Archives. And, as always, don't forget to share any feedback or comments about this poll as well. Lets review the results for our previous poll, When do you think a new C&C game will be announced? 51% of the vote feels the next game won't be announced until 2015 or later. Sounds like a lot of you are prepare to wait. Full results can be found in the Poll Archives.

There were 2 or 3 patches released for Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight. The last one was patch 1.03 that was released in April 2010. The patches were never released as standalone ZIP or EXE downloads though, if they were we would have them here http://www.cncnz.com/downloads/ Patches are available via the game's auto updater, I'll assume it still works. Simply start the game, login and it should automatically download the patch and update Command & Conquer 4 for you. If you have been playing it recently its probably already updated. The problems your experiencing could be due to out dated display drivers for your video card. Or perhaps your not using your displays native resolution.

If you follow our news coverage regularly you will know that Renegade X arrives on the 26th of February. To get you prepared, an all in one, and very detailed, post has been made on the Renegade X Forums explaining everything that's coming your way later this month. Find about the story, levels (maps), infantry, vehicles, structures and more. You might want to take a look at the minimum and recommended system requirements required to run Renegade X as well. Check out the full topic for more, including some extra screenshots.

I used to be able to link directly to any poll, new or old, but with this poll system I can't unfortunately.

More great promotion for the OpenRA project. The Cynical Brit has posted a video review of OpenRA, technically speaking it's more like his first impressions. In this video he takes a detailed look at the open source game, exploring all of what it has to offer. Watch the video below. You can try OpenRA for yourself by downloading it from the official site.

Any official patch at all for Uprising?
Sonic replied to keithktam's topic in Red Alert 3 / Uprising
No official patches for RA3 Uprising were ever released. Probably required to fix up a few things but since Uprising had no multiplayer there was no need to worry about balance like you would expect in Red Alert 3. The standalone expansion was released and then basically forgotten about. -
Time for a bit of nostalgia here. With the release of Renegade X fast approaching, the team shared this great video from 2002. It was shot during the successful "Be-A-Renegade" tour that Westwood Studios did to promote Command & Conquer Renegade, something they didn't do enough of in my opinion, especially after the game was released. Anyway, enjoy this trip down memory lane.... Hard to believe, but this was 14 years ago! Thanks to the Renegade X team for the video link.

Download Guide for the C&C: The First Decade - Unofficial Patch
Sonic posted a topic in The First Decade Patch 1.04
UPDATE: As of December 2013 we now have a better local mirror to download from. Based on some feedback, and some e-mails in my inbox, I felt it was important to reassure everyone about the C&C: The First Decade: Unofficial Patch 1.03 hosted here at CNCNZ.com. While Command & Patch (a sub-section hosted here at CNCNZ.com) is the official site for this popular patch, the file is not actually hosted on our servers. Many months ago the decision was made to host the file off site on MediaFire. This was done because of the massive amount of bandwidth this download was using while it was hosted our server, which in turn was costing us money. Some people maybe concerned about safety of this file hosted on MediaFire. The file is 100% safe, virus, malware and error free. Below is a short guide to ensure you're clicking the correct links when attempting to download the C&C: The First Decade: Unofficial Patch 1.03. Use either link below to download the current version of the Command & Conquer: The First Decade - Unofficial Patch. The choice is yours. Current Version: v1.03 Revision 4 http://www.cncnz.com/hosted-projects/command-patch/the-first-decade-unofficial-patch/ (CNCNZ.com/Command & Patch local mirror) http://www.mediafire.com/download/est1svg5xex0z8h/tfd-103-rev4.exe (MediaFire mirror. See guide below) Full patch information: http://www.cncnz.com/hosted-projects/command-patch/the-first-decade-unofficial-patch/. Download Guide for Direct Download via MediaFire 1) Download this patch via MediaFile using the download link http://www.mediafire.com/download/est1svg5xex0z8h/tfd-103-rev4.exe 2) Ignore all the banners and extra stuff around the page that may appear. Only focus on what you see in the preview below. On this screen simply click on the GREEN download button to begin downloading the file. Never click on anything else on this screen! You should get a prompt similar to the one shown below asking you to save the file. Click the Save File button and you're done! Remember, The file is 100% safe, virus, malware and error free. Just follow this guide and don't click on anything else on the download pages other than what's detailed in this guide.
