I've done a complete reinstall, empting the registry and the directories. I've done what was required from the link. Generals itself is now working fine but Zero Hour refuses to come up with "continue" after victory of a level. I only get "Play again" or "Exit". One stange thing that may help is that the desktop icons have never come up before on there own, I've had to do it from the directory. I've tried loading saved games form the net but they only go up to level 3, loading level 4 causes the whole lot to expload on startup or in some cases crashes the game?

Well I suppose you have to start someware. I have a fully paid for legal game of Genrals Delux Edition and I also bought both of them when they first comeout. Pirating destroys our games !! I'm having the same problem with both copies.

Hi I'm in the same boat with C&C generals and in fact with generals its self . I have it working thanks to the posts but I have a problem with the game moving on. After playing a level it just asks me to play again or quit. I have done all the mods mentioned here but no joy getting it to move on. I have win 7 64 home, amd x4 955, 4gb ram, nvidia gtx 260. I'm running the program in xp mode and as admin. Just to add the problems if a go to CHALLENGE as soon as game starts for real with bulldozers etc. the whole thing blows up and says i have been defeated. Have any guru got any idea what I can do to get these programs running?
