There's a whole ****load of patches ya know. But that all depends on what kind of PC components you have of course. http://cohpatch.relic.com/ I'd advise you to download and update your game with every patch for the original CoH from that page. The ones in the most top left are what you're looking for. Just make sure you update the game in the correct order.

I have all three: CoH, OF and ToV on the highest possible settings on my "out of date" PC and no crashing what so ever. Lets play sometime! I've been dieing to find someone who's willing to play a match or two. I prefer the Allies though. Been "training" with the British ever since I got the OF expansion.

Episode building: Season 5
AZ-Stalker replied to a topic in Command & Conquer Legos / Tiberium Legos
It's always nice when you pay a little attention to the little things, like their own uniform code. Very Renegade-C&C1-ish in deed. It suites the Nod grunts quite well. I've also used that Brickarms black MCH on all of my guys after I got my hands on them. Oh and try giving the Attack Bike (v2?) driver a black crash helmet along with some black or gray gloves/hands to make him stand out. Use all that wiggle room to make minor unit types more personalized as you go deeper into the formation of Nod if you feel that could improve the atmosphere of the faction. Funt fact: I've had some of those Green Army Men that you use for quite a while now. -
CNCNZ.com Poll: Do You Like the New C&C Free to Play Idea?
AZ-Stalker replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
The move to a F2P type of game isn't all that welcome in my book. I guess our classic C&C generation has truly come to an end. What really p***ed me off is the fact that they just demolished Generals 2 in a blink of an eye and are trying to "reboot" a whole series (I remember something about revisiting the Tiberium universe in the future being mentioned...). Why call the game Command and Conquer, that's the name of the whole series and of course the game that started it all - C&C 1. That's just not right... And transferring parts of the original Generals universe (the GLA for example) to a newer reboot-type world (so they exist in two separate games)? You've gotta be kidding me. I don't understand why you even bothered to post this... -
My take on the recent "Free to Play" issue
AZ-Stalker replied to a topic in C&C 2013 [Cancelled Game]
Exactly. Blabla great funny lego video bla standard good work comment yippee keep it up bla. -
Keep in mind that, given the C&C Legos "traditional" joke-like approach pattern, you could back this up with a funny scene regarding the problem. Or even just get random non-ex-soviet people to magically pop up in your splinter groups because they had nothing better to do or something (jokes/dialogs) - make it funny and work from there. That's just a fall back idea of course.

C&C Legos: Season 4 - Episode 10 Season Finale

Exactly. Really nice episode, I especially liked the time freeze scenes. Nice use of image manipulation and camera rotations aswell! -
People want to have fun with going around and creating stuff in an easy way without having to "learn an art" sort of speak. I know a lot of people who really like Minecraft solely because you can just jump in and place blocks around without any effort or 3D design knowledge of any kind. You jump in, enable your voice chat and have fun with other people. Dig out ore and build a house... it's as simple as that. But that's just the tip of the iceberg of course. It's meant to be a game for all ages. @aircraftkiller - Would a 7 year old kid seeking fun with building things from his imagination want to use a 3D modeling program or rather a game that has become super popular where you just place blocks around to create stuff (not to mention have a lot of laughs with a few friends while doing it)?

This old thing? Hahahah, I remember when this was cool in my group of friends. Thanks for posting, almost forgot about it.

2 Secret GLA factions + difficulty difference in campaign/challenge - questions
AZ-Stalker replied to Emil Georgiev's topic in Generals / Zero Hour
Well I'm no expert but as for the second difficulty question, I'd say you can do anything with the right modding tools/programs and some knowledge and experience on world building, scripting and modifying the game. The handicap thing is there to ensure a challenge, or the opposite (for less skillful players) during the Generals ZH challenge missions. As far as I'm aware of, an in-game AI handicap could be applied in a Skirmish match only through custom made maps with custom scripts OR in a medium-scale game mod which requires a lot of work. It's just the game's design. Some campaign missions were modified to better suite a certain atmosphere while others seem more or less mainstream like the Skirmish matches. You can EASILY insert a vast amount of random units when making a map for Generals. I could put 10 Jarmen Kell's in if I wanted to and get them to play on, I don't know, China's side? You can select any unit and turn it's affiliation over to any faction YOU create. You aren't confined to existing Skirmish style Generals. As for the previous question; I'm pretty sure that's what the developeres did, they modified a faction to their liking. You can do anything by utilizing the Generals World Builder and third party modding tools. If you really want to boost yourself in campaign missions, then you could try extracting a mission using a program called FinalBIG or some other "tool" and mess around in the World Builder, add some units and change some settings and what not, then reload it back in the game. And you've just modded the game. That's pretty much it for all I can think of on how to tackle the handicap and custom General questions. If I haven't answered something clear enough for you, feel free to ask for more information. Though keep in mind that I'm not that experienced in direct modding, just the World Builder and some other neat little programs... -
The C&C 1 "modern" Brotherhood's second-in-command Seth could be worth looking into as well...

A bit of an off-topic statement but get your info straight... This is what can be found on the Call of Duty Wiki in Price's section (the WW2 one):

Of course! Hit me up via private messages on the matter.

It's not about the aftermath or goal, its about building things. How do you make something look the way you want it to look? How do you tackle technical issues? It's pretty addictive once you get the hang of Minecraft's creative mode. I remember building things late at night going "just one more block, just one more block" and all that.

Unreal Tournament 2004 with my brother and a few friends (also C&C fans). Dungeon Siege 2: Broken World for the first time. I didn't even know there was an expansion out there!

Hmm, I think the Kirov is my favorite. I love what they're doing with blocks and C&C these days.

How about the Harvester bit I mentioned earlier? If tiberium just settled in on Earth, then there would have been failed attempts to harvest it. You could use little things like that for joke scenes at the ends of a few episodes, or just have some comedy relief to break up two scenes. Think of the possibilities in experimenting with random ways on how to go about collecting hazardous crystals, maybe even some sort of funny way the harvester breakthrough was accomplished. This could be paired with both GDI and Nod (to a smaller degree). Eventually, you could link up GDI's incompetents in harvesting tiberium with the second (I think) episode of Season 1 where GDI captures a Nod Refinery in order to gain some knowledge and tech on the matter.
-
It's your series. I'm just sharing some ideas. Maybe it would help if you were to limit the creativity you expect in fan submitted ideas/suggestions. A slightly more detailed timeline and story elaboration perhaps? (when you finalize some sort of setting or plot)
-
Since you're going for an era just before the 1st tiberium war, you could throw a comedic scene somewhere in the story as a reference to the crashed homemade Scrin ship from TS. A long shot? Not if you take into consideration that Kane stated that it was constructed by Nod near the end of the 1st war. So Nod's elite must have had plans to construct it during the war. Advanced flying thingys like that don't just get built in a week or so. To keep the idea short, you could animate some UN/GDI/"good guys" soldiers to bump into some top secret Nod blueprints of the Scrin ship that's under construction (or planed for construction). The guys that get a look at the plans should either join Nod, get killed or take a vacation so GDI doesn't find out about it until the 2nd war. Maybe you could incorporate it in a more funny scene where GDI troops search a computer interface or something and while browsing through the files say stuff like: "Let's see if we can't find any intel on where the terrorists might strike next... hmm, combat tactics, survival guides, recon bike part list, tiberium pictures, Nod's top secret alien warship blueprints, cook book files...". This is just a simple comedic reference idea. You can do what ever the hell you want with it if you like it.

2 Secret GLA factions + difficulty difference in campaign/challenge - questions
AZ-Stalker replied to Emil Georgiev's topic in Generals / Zero Hour
If I were to put myself in the map/mission makers place, I'd just modify a certain faction (like the Stealth General) and mix it up with scripts and unit-specific abilities like having 24-7 stealth vehicles and so on. So I'm guessing thats what the Generals developers actually did. In short, the factions you're asking about could very well be just scripted and modified default factions. Can't think of any reason for the developers to make an entire standalone general just for one mission + not human-controlled. -
Nice start. Maybe add in some funny trial and error with tiberium harvesting methods? Harversters didn't just drop from the sky...
