CNCNZ.com's Red Alert 3 Community Summit Report

The first part of the Red Alert 3 Community Summit NDA has officially been lifted so many sites have started to post their Red Alert 3 Community Summit trip reports. And of course I have written my own report for CNCNZ.com.

 

This 4000+ word article is simply a report on the actual trip, what we saw, what we did and so on. You won't find any detailed information about Red Alert 3 inside. More in-depth Red Alert 3 details will be emerging in the near future so don't worry. I used a lot of photos, some are my own while a few others were kindly donated by HeXetic from Planet CNC. And yes you will be able to see me in some of them. Just look for the idiot wearing the Xbox 360 cap. There are more photos in our Red Alert 3 Community Summit Gallery. I haven't had time to add descriptions to any of the photos just yet though.

I can't tell who is who from any of the photos, no one does a naming scheme like "name left name right"... I wanna know who is under the mask!

I'm kinda disappointed that there won't be a jukebox Everyone got different tastes about music and choosing the tracks you like and skipping the tracks you don't like is really handy.

Finally they're redesigning cnc.com, it's about time. It was a mistake to contract the work to gamespy in the first place.

That was good to read, glad you were able to go for once. You deserve the treat.

 

I was surprised the NDA was signed at the end... that seems well unwise.

Oh disappointing but not surprising that there is no jukebox. I like the technology behind the idea, but the source music has usually not worked as cool as traditional tracks. if they can increase 'catchy-ness' of the tunes the system will work much better.

Like I said before I didn't have time rto time to add descriptions to any of the photos. I will get on to that soon. After all that typing and preparing the photos I didn't feel like doing anymore.

The music is going to be a critical part to the game, not just random stuff like it was in C&C 3. The good news the samples they played from the other composers sounds great.

 

Also, I did proof read the entire thing, but I'm guessing there will be a spelling/grammar error in there somewhere, so if you spot something send me a quick PM about it.
