Metallica - Death Magnetic Album Art & Track Listing

Recommended Posts

I didn't notice any major distortions on my run through it. Though it was pretty damn epic. Not quite Puppets epic but daaaaaaaaamn close.

7:30 minutes c.C; pass XD i'm sure it's very awesome and all but it's a tad too long to keep me interested... like i said before, metallica songs are too hardcore and depressing for me o.o;

See, I knew I dumped you for a reason...

Downloaded it and was too lazy to put headphones on so I only jumped from song to song to take a listen... sounds good. Will have to listen to it tomorrow and decide if it's worth buying.

I think its right up with Master of Puppets. When you compare it to the likes of St Anger, Death Magnetic is leaps and bounds and ahead. But I never hated St Anger, I think it was great. Death Magnetic is pure heavy metal that never lets up.

Listening to it again as I type this, using my headphones this time, and yeah the slight distortion is there but only in patches. You can't always here it. The simple fact is Death Magnetic is a very loud album, playing on my stereo (with its big ass speakers) it sounds great. With the headphones its there but doesn't ruin the music.

Didn't like it, donno why. It seemed like it was good, but just couldn't get into the music. Bummer. Deleted the CD image I had. C'est la vie.

Bah... while heavy, this ain't nearly as heavy as Lighting, Kill and Puppets. I really need to go get the rest of the Metallica discog and put it on my laptop... hmmmm.

unless the songs constantly keep you hooked for every moment of the song, it's too long o.O and as much as i like instrumentals i don't want to listen to a song that is mainly nothing but instruments xD i neeeeed easy to sing lyrics :3

Bah... those track times are weak. Train of Thought has much longer songs.

  1. As I Am (7:47)
  2. This Dying Soul (11:28)
  3. Endless Sacrifice (11:23)
  4. Honor Thy Father (10:14)
  5. Vacant (2:58)
  6. Stream of Consciousness (11:16)
  7. In The Name of God (14:14)

:P

or perhaps Six Degrees...

  1. The Glass Prison (13:52)
  2. Blind Faith (10:21)
  3. Misunderstood (9:34)
  4. The Great Debate (13:43)
  5. Disappear (6:46)
  6. Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (42:04)

xD

Longer doesn't necessarily equate to quality.

I've heard a few of the metallica songs on the radio lately, sounds AWESOME! I just might have to *buy* this album (I really only buy indie music legit)

Long songs are normally boring and overdoing it. They tend to repeat which I hate. Dream Theater, while usually keeping it always different, sometimes drags on for me which I just have to skip to the next song at that point.

Didn't like it, donno why. It seemed like it was good, but just couldn't get into the music. Bummer. Deleted the CD image I had. C'est la vie.

I meant ", but I just couldn't" fyi... but I don't see anywhere that I said "to good"?

Found this on Metallica's official forum at http://www.metallicabb.com. Some dude who thinks he found a hidden track on the Death Magnetic CD.

After buying death magnetic (and loving every second of it!!!) I brought it home and ripped it into my windows media library to transfer into my MP3 player.

As the ripping process reached track number four- The Day That Never Comes, and additional track unlisted on the album popped up out of nowhere, also numbered number 4 and also titled The Day That Never Comes. This gives the album 11 tracks total. The song has a softer sound but is amazing. It is also the shortest track on the album at 3 minutes, 38 seconds.

Has anybody else had this happen?

I have researched this heavily and can not come up with anything anywhere about this period.

Can somebody please explain, or have a title for the song?

He keeps posting through out the thread insisting its for real..... honestly why do people post garbage like this

Either way it still made me laugh.

Read the thread here http://www.metallicabb.com/index.php?showtopic=87286, username is "travis".
