Not really. I don't recall any manufacturer claiming processors do more at the same time. Maybe faster but not more at once since it's not really possible. Any processor can only run one thread at time.

well at this rate i might need to get a new processor anyway simply because games and such require higher usage... i think my total processing ability is like, 3.6GHz or something... which is pretty good but the way things are going it's gonna get dated quickly... though i'm still peeved over my graphics card. my computer wizz friend pointed out what card i should get and was all "BUY IT! BUY IT NOW! IT DOESN'T MATTER THAT IT'S A 256!" if i'd have waited another week i could have gotten the same card with a 512 instead .-.; that's my luck... go figure :\

Sure, you could have gotten the 512MB version but you'd have paid more. There is nothing wrong with a 256MB video card right now. Very few games require much beyond it. That'll change soon enough but for now, a 256MB card is peachy.

at the time money was no object o.o; and my theory is that if you're going shopping for compy parts you should buy the best possible stuff so you won't have to upgrade that part again for a long time... i'd rather pay out £200 over 3 - 5 years then pay out £120 every 1 - 2 years y'know... ideally i would have liked to get that fancy card... the geforce 8880 with 900mb... at the time when i was buying graphics cards that was pretty much the most fancy thing i could have gotten (though it's no longer top of the charts xD) but it was way too expensive and it literally wouldn't have fitted in my computer xD; my current card is a hell of a tight squeeze as it is o-o;

i don't like wearing glasses >_> i wear contact lenses but i wanna be able to swim without losing them D: and i like wearing goggles so i can't really wear glasses with that. but glasses REALLY aren't an option for me. no how no way >_>

yes but then i have the problem of NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE XD i'm short sighted. i can't see jack sh*t without lenses/glasses xD; and you have no idea just how panicky i get when i'm not 100% sure where the people i'm with are o.o;

you're probably more likely to have your glasses smashed into your face and blind you then you are getting blinded by laser eye surgery o.o; and believe me i can count for that. when i used to wear glasses i repeatedly got hit in the face by stuff c.c;

i think it's a combination of all three XD when i screw up, i usually screw up pretty bad. usually in a very entertaining way. like i'll be carrying my dinner up the stairs, i'll trip, drop my dinner, land in it face first then fall backwards down the stairs o.o i've done that before round my aunt's house. my great aunt was so upset with me xD; if i remember right i believe it was a (large) plate of raviolli o.o whatever it was it had a lot of liquid and it made a big mess xD;
