GeForce Se 4800 Ti not working with RA3

Recommended Posts

"Please make sure that you have DirectX 9.0 or higher installed. Also verify that your video card meets the minimum requirements, and that you do not have hardware acceleration disabled in the Display control panel."

What I do ? :( halp

My system specs are:

512ram

1.9ghz

GeForce Se 4800 Ti

I already unnistalled the drive card and reinstalled it with the lastest version... The same thing with DirectX 9.0c...

I also make all the tests with the DirectX 9.0c, and it said that is working correctly. I verified the hardware accelaration in Display Control Panel, and is everything right...

and beside the things, I not running RA3 :(

My friend is running the game with a GeForce FX5200, and in the site "can you run it ?" i can run Red Alert 3 :/

You need:

More RAM

More CPU

Better GFX card (I think)

Mine works with:

3 GHz

1.5 Gb RAM

GeForce 5200

Set to ultra low graphics, a few on medium or low.

Red Alert 3 requires and Geforce 6800 or better, that supports with Hardware Transform and Lighting (T&L) Capability. As you have seen people have run on the low end 5200 but that only because of the T&L I guess. Your 4800 is simply to old.

You really need 2 GHz or higer CPU and at least 1 GB Ram or more for Red Alert 3.

Read the full system specs for Red Alert 3 here http://www.cncnz.com/games/redalert3/sysreq/.

To sum up, either you upgrade ALL parts of the computer (RAM, motherboard with at least core 2 dual intel, good graphic card etc), or, go get a new computer. Your PC is not meant for new games.

Nah. You don't need a dual core. 2.5gHz plus is best though. My brother has a single core and his machine ran RA3 fine.

While the graphics card is technically the problem, the whole machine could do with a makeover

I guessed this thread can be closed. You got your answer.

1) Your graphics card is obsolete. Change a new graphics card (Nvidia 8800 series or 9800GTX)

2) Your computer is in need of makeover.

512ram------------------------------Too slow and could hardly get the new games running smoothly. At least a 2GB ram meets moderate requirements for new games.

1.9ghz-------------------------------Too slow for gaming. At least a 2.6GHz or more.

GeForce Se 4800 Ti----------------Like i said in point 1).
