Yeah, a few things like that were slight nuisances but the overall feel was pretty good. At least... I thought so anyway.

lol yah a blond bond doesn't really work either. just for the sake of argument we can say he dyed his hair, one colour or another. but you can't really dye your skin, not to mention the genetic differences in features. anyway...

and what are you talking about? XD craig was shooting stuff a lot from what i remember. either way, it was just one big advertising campaign. not one single spy in history has used standard off the shelf gadgets. check it out, even the WW2 spies had special stuff. i mean let's scan a little later on... for example, the umbrella assassination. i really don't think you can get that "off the shelf", nor (at the time) all the tiny microphones and cameras the size of a button.

james bond (moviewise) was ALWAYS about an intelligent handsome british spy who used fantastic technologies to get out of impossible situations. craig just irritates the crud out of me... even the original idea of an american "jimmy bond" spy of the novels would have been better.

sure, casino royale was WATCHABLE but it was nothing special. it was just another action flick. he -wasn't- using his devlish good looks and witty, charming personality to win over ladies. he -wasn't- using futuristic technology. all he did do was a lot of violence and kung fu style combat, combined with parkour style movement. i don't remember ANY other bond in history doing things like that. a little close combat yes. but what other bond has EVER used parkour? the closest thing we've gotten were absailing, running over rooves or carefully climbing up cliff faces...

i say leave the mindless action to those who specialize in it - seagal, norris, arnie, van damme and the rest...

until now bond was something unique and special, pretty much the only one of his type. why should it be any different now?
