Red Alert 3: Ultimate Edition for PlayStation 3

PlayStation 3 fans waiting for Red Alert 3 to appear on their console of choice will be getting a special version of the game when it releases. It has been called Red Alert 3: Ultimate Edition. Offering some extra features not found in any other version of the game.

 

Here's the story via PS3 Fanboy....

 

A few months ago, developers of the latest Command & Conquer game, revealed that the delayed PS3 version of the game would feature "really cool things" that take advantage of the "high-defness of Blu-Ray." Well, a listing on the EA Store reveals what those things will be.

 

Now dubbed the Ultimate Edition, the PS3 version will include a ton of new videos on the disc not found in previous versions. Find bloopers, behind the scenes, and developer strategy videos. There will also be brand new battleground maps. You'll be able to access the soundtrack from the game, and study with a built-in Unit Profiles video encyclopaedia. To top it all, there's an exclusive HD version of a video feature, "Girls of RA3," which focuses on the women featured in the game.

 

With all this added content, the PS3 version of Red Alert indeed looks to be the ultimate version of the game. When this much content and effort is put into a port, we don't mind it coming a little later than on other platforms.

Sounds a lot like the Premier Edition for the PC if you ask me. At this stage I don't believe a release date for Red Alert 3 on PlayStation 3 has been confirmed yet. Last I heard was March 2009.

Pretty much. The soundtrack is on the bonus dvd of the premier edition, basically all those videos are, including the bloopers and such.

 

I guess they are just saying it'll be slightly more quality (which doesn't really matter IMO) one extra short video and well, just hyping it up for the PS3 people.

Sorry for my late arrival since I've been keeping an eye on RADEN most of the time and skipped this one from CNCNZ.

 

Anyway, just like the Premier Edition, nothing special. As far as I'm concerned, the bloopers I saw are the worst of all EA ever created, I can't believe they spent too much time working on the bloopers which most of them coming from the "Hell March remix" music video, which I found that very disappointing. I prefer in-game cinematic ones, NOT from other sources such as the remix video or the marketing videos (Like Ackerman for President videos).
