So, how often do you not finish off a game?

Usually I always beat a game if I buy it. There are very few games that I buy that I don't finish, I think this is a reflection on my ability to pick games I will like, and not just crap that looks cool. But there is the odd game here and there, that I just never got around to finishing, usually because it became to much like "work" to finish off.

Off the top of my head, I've maybe given up on about 5 or 6 games lately. Lately they seem to be more open world based games, you know the ones where there is so much to do. But maybe a bit too much, cause I get bored. Case and point, GTA4, it started out great, but now, its just the same **** over and over, and I don't know if I can be bothered to finish it.

So what about you peeps?

I loose interest way to quickly in most games. I haven't touched RA3 in weeks. Last time I played it was 1 skirmish game just before Christmas. However a lot of the time is I simply don't have the time to spend playing games for long sessions anyway, so even if I feel like finishing a game it takes me a while. Example, FarCry 2, I got last November and I'm almost done, 1 last mission to complete.

I'm guessing 10-15, but I'm not sure... I don't really keep track of all the games I don't finish ;)

This poll is flawed, it should be what percent of games do you never finish. For instance, I would have to vote 1-5, but I don't buy a lot of games, so this is actually a higher percentage than someone that buys every game that ever comes out voting 1-5.

I see no problems with the poll.

Ok, if you say so. I suppose if the great Luk3us came up with it, it couldn't be flawed anyway... Blasphemy and all that...

I can only think of five campaigns I haven't finished:

C&C TD (wtf hard...)

RA1 (just too old of game)

Mass Effect (RPG=in game world, practically endless campaign....)

Red Alert 3 (working on it now)

Earth 2150 (I completed 1 campaign while AFK lol, came back and saw the victory video)

And I have completed at least 13

Get out, now.

Umm, most GTA games I really, really haven't ever finished. Tends to wind up that I do a reformat and forget to carry over my save files... and always get distracted on missions to kill hookers. Yea.

GTAIII I did beat, though.

There are a plethora of games I never finish, either because I get stuck, lose interest or due to a lack of time, like these days. I rather watch films. But I did have some nice time with RA3 and F3 in December.

It's all about satisfaction, people. A satisfying game makes for a gratifying finishing experience which motivates you to actually finish it. Me? I just plain want to finish games with a deep and interesting storyline. That's about my threshold.
