Shocker 0 Posted April 5, 2004 Sonic - two things: 1. I've noticed since the last few weeks that there's a strange bug on the forum. Say that I'm logged out of the forum, or browsing it on a public computer at a netcafe where the login cookie can't be stored. I then click to reply to a thread, and the forum asks for my login info. That's fine, so I type it in and click to continue. The next page shows a box with an error - 'No post ID was specified' - so I have to go back through the history to the thread and then hit reply. Obviously just a minor annoyance, but I thought I'd let you know. 2. The next bug only occurs infrequently. It's when I use the 'Jump to' box in the bottom right hand corner to go to other forums. This error happened just now actually - I was viewing General Discussion and selected 'Site Discussion' and then clicked go. It took me to a page with an error box that said something like 'Invalid Forum ID' or something similar. I forgot to take a screenshot :/ These bugs aren't anything major, but again I thought you should know just in case they show that something is stuffing up deep in the system or something. Cheers. Sonic 296 Posted April 6, 2004 Do these errors happen when your on your own home computer or netcafe computers? luk3us reported some possibly un-related (or related) errors in this thread http://forums.cncnz.com/viewtopic.php?t=1082. I don't have any answers right now but I can say that I've had that 'No post ID was specified' pop up me once or twice when I was editing a post, I just clicked back a page and then submit again and it was fine. In the second problem you described you say you have to use the "GO" button when using the "Jump To" menu, I never have to click that "GO" button. I guess your not using IE6. I will look into to these errors but I can't promise anything. Share this post Link to post
Shocker 0 Posted April 6, 2004 I just deleted the cookie at my home PC and then tried it - and I got the same error. So it appears on both my home PC & the netcafe ones. About the second problem: My mistake, I should clarify - I don't have to click 'GO'. I'm using IE 6.0.2800.1106 on XP SP1 with all the security updates applied. Hmm, luk3us' problem sounds quite similar actually... Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted April 7, 2004 I just deleted the cookie at my home PC and then tried it - and I got the same error. So it appears on both my home PC & the netcafe ones. I think it does help to clear your IE cookies once in awhile. Share this post Link to post
