Gaming Catch Up

Recommended Posts

Over the past few weeks I've been purchasing a few Xbox 360 games for cheap prices, not the latest game though. Two weeks ago I picked up Dead Rising and Blacksite. I played them and I appreciated them more than I would have if I had paid full price for them when they were first released. Fast forward to this week, I have Bioshock and Stranglehold waiting to be played. The last full price game I got was FEAR 2. Yeah I liked it, but its not as good as the first one. So the question is this. Is it really that important to play the games as soon as they are released? Why not wait awhile for the eventual price drop. You save some dollars and you might just appreciate the game more.

I normally wait 3 months to buy a game. A nice price drop has usually occurred and it allows any bugs and problems to be sorted out for the most part through updates.

Depends on the game really if I get it ASAP, I usually do. But not always.

Pre-order deals are usually what does it for me. With either some extra free crap, or just a nice little discount. :)

I used to play a lot of games 9 years ago. The craze stopped since the age of Generals ZH. Ever since then I've stop buying and playing new games except that I purchased TW, KW, RA3 and some decent racing games only. I guessed I don't have much time and money chasing new and demanding games.

I like to buy games at the $50 mark (half - price) if I can afford to wait that long. Some games are must-haves-as-soon-as-possible like... well any C&C game! :)

But when you do buy a bargin and older game, I'm always more forgiving of it's flaws, and enjoy it's successs more.

UAW fits into this category.
